I tend treat novels and shows/ movies as the completely different mediums they are. If you separate them you can…
Mr. Darcy!! I like the 2005 film version the most.
Like you, I also treat original sources and cdrama adaptations as two separate entities. I don't read original sources for cdramas because it takes away my enjoyment when watching the show. I made a mistake once, so when it came to watching a highly anticipated show, the excitement was no longer there because I already knew all that was to happen.
Lord ChangXi doesn't know Qi Min is not his son. His wife and son were invited to the Eastern Palace the by Crown…
I stopped reading after the first line because I didn't want to be spoiled further. That was a BIG TWIST!!! and enough to last me for the next few days! Thanks for engaging and sharing. π
βItβs funny because she says, βThis isnβt a storybook; sparrows donβt turn into phoenixes,β even though…
At least she didn't say pigs don't fly, because that statement would be difficult to refute. =). Sparrows don't turn into phoenixes, but they are both avian and do fly. π
I am seriously regretting reading the novel starting 10 episodes ago because the drama continues to be underwhelming…
So glad I'm not reading the original source. Totally 1000% enjoying the drama, granting the director full agency in giving me the ultimate joy ride. More popcorn please...extra butter! π
What drama did most of you discover Zhang Lin He ? Mines was Love Between Fairy and Devil and I first watched…
First saw him in Maiden Holmes, but the drama didn't have enough ooommphh to take me to the last episode. Saw him again in Love between Fairy and Devil, and this drama also didn't take me to the finish line. FINALLY, My Journey to You was a hit! His next two dramas Bright Eyes in the Dark and Tiger and Crane, again, dropped. Then came Story of Kunning Palace which was AAMMMAAAZZZINGG. Then his next few were meehhh, until Pursuit of Jade.
From ep 28, QM said he wants to take revenge on Lord ChangXi and SYQ. He doesn't care about the throne. It's been 17 years!!! After today's episode, I'm speculating that Lord ChangXi liked QM's mom, but somehow she ended up marrying QM's dad. Lord ChangXi planned for QM's father demise. QM's mom asked Lord ChangXi to spare QM's life and raise him as her last dying wish. All speculation here....from watching too many cdramas. Your thoughts?
I wasted a few hours and went out for hotpot with family, came back with loads of comments on the page. There are so much to read. Sigh....I guess this is when I don't mind at all that commenters repeat postings/re-post because who would have thought back-scrolling is so exhausting? π
I canβt help but feel a bit disappointed with how Zhang Ling He was used in Pursuit of Jade. His role comes…
This drama is female-centric with ChangYu as the main protagonist, she and the Marquis as the main COUPLE. I feel the Marquis role is written pretty well here, and not disappointed at all with his screen time. If he were to have more screen time, it would change the dynamic of story, and no longer faithful to the original story. That's almost saying GONGSUN should have more screentime because his role is under utilized. Perhaps because ZLH shows up as first on the billing, people mistook his role in the drama. Happy watching!!
Anyone tallying how many kisses π are we now? π
No, but whoever is tallying, don't forget to include the hickey in the post-credit scene in today's episode. You know it takes 2 to make a hickey on the neck. =P
