It all comes down to loyalty, and his loyalty to XJS is stronger than to FYX because he believes in XJS’s ultimate plan, leading the people of JinXui.

FYX has no pressing responsibilities. She already achieved what she initially set out to do in the beginning. So, if they were to separate, it’s probably for other reasons.

I think they would respect FSG’s wish if he wouldn’t have wanted to do it. However, if he’s dying, and the only way to save him is the acupuncture method even at risk of losing memory, FYX would still have it done.

Weiran has no motive other than to be a loyal general to his Highness, XJS. Because he didn’t know the truth, his loyalty and trust are misplaced.

I’m plowing right through. Not saving any episodes. I’ll just be repeating on loop my fave scenes and refreshing MDL 10k times a day, sharing my woes and plights with other similar souls. … until our FSG and FYX’s return.

It gets a lot better, but I have to admit this drama is a lot more violent and gory than the typical Cdramas. The ML could be ruthless and cruel at some scenes.
