I think the take away is that EVERYONE has a tragic story in Fated Hearts. FSG = murdered mom since young and neglected by his emperor father; FYX= kidnapped orphaned, terrible childhood as trained assassin, betrayed by loved ones (XJS & Weiran); XJS = long term abused since young, and living life one day at a time now depending on a timely antidote; Princess of Susha = married someone who doesn't love her and is far away from home; Emperor of Susha = grieving the lost of his late Empress in silence, estranged from his son to protect his life; Prime Minister Zhuang = grieving his lost son and is overwhelmed with vegeance; Empress of Susha=lost 15 years thinking she had a loving marriage, but it was a sham. Murong Yao = bitter with life and fate for having been dealt a shorter stick then his childhood friend;
Is the Emperor of Susha poisoned for 15 years , hence the terminal illness? or he has terminal illness but not because of poison, meaning, naturally...like..cancer, for example?

The Emperor of Susha is so slick. Purposely not naming a Crown Prince so there'd be enough time for FSG to grow up and be strong, and keep his life safe as long as possible. He's also intentionally not favoring FSG publicly to avoid bringing harm and attention from the Prime Minister. I strongly believe the late Empress was murdered by the Prime Minister.
After today's episodes, I advocate for XJS to be Emperor of JinXiu. The current Emperor is despicable and doesn't deserve to be king. Haters can complain all you like...I'll just be snacking on my beef jerky.

His grand ambition is to rule Susha by proxy through his grandson, the second prince. Once the second prince becomes Emperor, power would be transferred to his hand indirectly. The court is already filled with his people. His plan in detail, I have no clue, but obviously, to take FSG down, and also eliminate the Emperor.
It would be hilarious if Minister of Rites was the boss. He's the court jester.

Could be...could be...and I think that's what keeping me on because I still don't know. I do know PM Zhuang is bad. Even FSG said PM Zhuang rules the entire court.
