The prime minister had a child who is "dead". In episode 2, he briefly mentioned how he can't even put…
Usually, you can't place a memorial tablet because the person is disowned or kicked out of the family. However, we can see that the Prime Minister do care for his late son which he seems to blame FSG for his death. I suspect his late son must have committed a crime equivalent to treason, so the PM had to publicly disown him , sever ties, in order to save himself and the rest of the Zhuang family.
1. What is Murong Yao after? He claims harming FSG was NOT part of his plan. Yet he seems to be out to kill the…
Totally valid questions...and why I enjoy this show. We think we know, we speculate a ton, and then....we still may not really know as new info are introduced.
After today's ep 20, we're getting more of XJS's backstory. I understand why he's what he is. I really don't mind at all if he ends up as King of JinXiu. His brother is seemingly a lecherous, ruthless, incompetent.
I honestly hope somehow FSG and XJS come to an agreement and rule their own respective kingdom without war. This is the ending I would like....
The last 10 minutes of ep 25 is too funny. SHM's face: from happiness to disappointment to jealousy. Well, guess he has to do even better and more to win her. 😁
Yeah the father's clueless. Wonder what MRY's motive is. Maybe something linked to Zhuang s who promised him something…
I think MRY felt his family deserved more since The Marquis and the Emperor fought together back in establishing the nation back in the days. But now, the Marquis is sent to the border with no major acknowledgement. So, MYR is trying to get back what he believes his family/he deserves: title, land, wealth, acknowledgement, etc.
If Murong Yao is the masked man, I don't think his own father knows. Their first father and son conversation on screen doesn't seem ominous. The Marquis seemingly said with earnest about contributing to the nation and the Emperor and believe in the Emperor. Could it be that the Emperor also sent him far away from court for his safety so that Prime Minister Zhuang wouldn't target the Marquis as well?
wait did i miss something? why is the death camp at susha and not jinxiu?
It's another death camp site. It's probably in Susha so that Emperor of JinXiu doesn't know about it. It would be a sign that XJS is forming his army/assassins/group and forming power in preparation for a rebellion, so if it's in Susha, the Emperor may ordered him executed, and/or not give him antidote.
I have a feeling that his father really loves him and is trying to protect him from something. Maybe having him…
I agree with this. I think the Emperor is trying to protect him because he knows Prime Minister Zhuang and the Empress would try their best to eliminate FSG as they attempted several time in his youth. The Emperor is in a bind because he knew the Prime Minister is powerful and has people in court siding with him, so he's trying to be hands off and remain aloof.
I'm just soooooo wow impressed at the scene when FSG was accosted by the Empress. The look he gave her, and how he violently slammed her underlying against the wall. It's wild that I'm rooting for this character and hope he gets a happy ending because he so deserves it!

There's so much going on; never a boring moment.
And...I check this site 10,000x /day as a bonus side effect!! 🤪
