Why I like this show. There’s closure for everyone. All baddies got what they deserved.

I'm at ep 36 and it's like a tsunami roller coaster ride!!

One thing I like about this drama is how it drops mini hints throughout the show. It's been hinted several times either vocally or through actions that the Emperor treats Li better than his sons. Based on that, I think Li is the Emperor's REAL son.

All the princes are either the Emperor's sons or his paternal nephews.

Prince Sui's mom was one of the Emperor's consort. Prince Sui's dad is the Emperor. Prince Jin was either the Emperor's younger brother or a paternal nephew.

If I say more, it would reveal too much and become a major spoiler.

The actor playing the role of the Emperor is such a great actor! His performance is impeccable because up to ep 34, you really can't tell his real color although there have been shots here and there that bring on suspicions. Once we're up to ep 35 and his true color is revealed, you can tell he's truly fake crying for the dead Crown Prince.

I'm up to ep 35, and this drama is soooo goood. So many arcs and things happening simultaneously. No one is innocent in my eyes now except for our 4 main leads. Everyone has their own agendas.

I have to say the director is doing an excellent job in casting everyone in a suspicious light, not to mention, rather appropriate sound effects, like when the blind prince stepped over the pebbles.

I think the Empress knows the current Emperor is "someone else."

up to ep 34, and I simply love how YC can scare Prince Cheng sh*tless.

I love Qin Wan and Yan Chi so much. They are such a power couple of having each other’s back. There is no silly misunderstanding business. Love how she constantly tells him she can continue her medical practice and support him his whole life should he be a regular subject. 😍🥰

The emperor is a classic manipulator in how he regularly guilted the Empress Dowager with “am I too not your son?”

Yes, cuz FL always looked at him funny, especially when he ran off to vomit.

Qin Wan and Yan Chi make such a great couple, backing each other. I love how they are so open with one another. Team Work!!!

I'm so swooned over his deliverance of this line.

ML’s sidekick’s constant untimely “interruptions” between ML/FL are so hilarious in ep 15/16. 😝🤪🤣

ML is so damn sexy when he barked orders to his troop in ep 15. 🥰😍
