If I could only give one acting award among this cast, it would go to ZY. I hope he gets more roles after this show. I never watched his works before.

No romance for the main characters. There is a little romance for a main lead's sister with a member of his team. There is a sense of brotherhood among the leads.
Happy ending for the good guys and bad ending for the bad guys. =)

Finally finished and it didn't disappoint. I love everything about it! I will make note of the directors going forward for their future projects. That 1 minute slow-mo compilation of who's behind it all revelation deserves an award. Such amazing performance by Zheng Bei and Xiao Hai.

XiaoHai is so hard to read. This makes him the perfect criminal hiding in plain sight. Do you think he's 1/2 of the Lucifer drug-ring organization with Mr. Ma?

JXH's background has always been puzzling to me. This part hasn't been clearly explained but from the little bits shown to us, I can only conclude that his biological parents abandoned him, then he was adopted by JYZ's dad who was abusive and beat him up frequently, so he ran away. While as a run-away, he was kidnapped, and met Zheng Bei. After he escaped from the human traffickers, he was saved by his godfather.

only if you like Chen Zhe Yuan. He's really good in here.

Chen Ze Yuan makes this drama so enjoyable. He does a great job with his character as a city-smart, cheeky sort of fellow.

ep 27, OMG!! OMG!! I'm so blown away!!

We've been presented with some shockers since the beginning. I'm not surprised if Mr. Ma is Mr. Gu's missing chemistry-genius father. During their last meal, the father said something to Gu YiRan as if they would not be seeing each other again or not for a long time. I fail to believe the father would abandon his only son for so long. So the only conclusion would be that the drug lords probably threatened to kill his son (Yi Ran) if he doesn't cook meth for them. The Ultimate shocker would be Mr. Ma, the father, is truly the big boss and chose to go in hiding and faked his death just to lead the drug ring.

Yes, I like the straight and justice-seeking Zheng Bei. Yes, I also like the proper and intelligent Mr. Gu. But, Jiang Xiao Hai's character made me wonder the most. He walks a gray line, trying to do the right things if possible. XiaoHai has redeemable qualities, but I do worry whether he would escape unscathed at the end.

I can't praise enough! This show is taking me on a thrill ride! Just when we thought we're about to wrap everything up nice and neat, we're tossed another BIG surprise!!! I feel like watching Mortal Kombat video game where the player has to beat numerous sub-bosses before getting to the apex for the big boss.

So, WHO is the BIG boss? Who is Mr. Ma?

Hilarious how "vinegar" is mentioned twice to ML in the latest episodes, insinuating he's jealous🤪

ep 9, I burst out laughing at the slo-mo scene of the doctor dad and his estranged wife at the washer scene. You bet I'm waiting for these two to get back together.😂😁🥰

I know Mr Gu's father went missing, but the body was never found. I was hoping that he's still alive even though Mr. Gu got the bloody lab coat from the "asthma" guy.

The young lady in the street, is it from ep 21? If so, I believe that's not Jiang Ying Zi. That's Er Jin's daughter. She said Qin Yi is dead, and her father is in prison, why XiaoHai gets a free-pass? The bully was Mr. Lin's son who XiaoHai beat up before at the hotel and restaurant, that's why XiaoHai said that his wound looked healed.

I finally caught up to ep 21. I rarely binge on shows, but I did on this one! It's so awesome! Great directing and story telling, not to mention a nice song at the outro. Fast pace and just the right amount of suspense to keep you wanting more episode after episode. We have a few more questions to be cleared in the next 9 episodes.

OMG!! ep 10, I need to bow to Xiao Hai's sister. Every character is more than what it seems.
This show is just an amazing roller coaster ride.!!
