On Kangchi, the Beginning Apr 11, 2013
Title Kangchi, the Beginning Spoiler
I understand why Seo-hwa did what she did to Wol Ryung. We have to look into the context of her feelings and her situation. She was caught completely by surprise to find out he was mythical creature. She was scared, desperate. The man she married and whom she gave her everything, turned out to be an actual monster. And lets not forget that, to protect her, he lied to her about her brother's (and Dam's) death. That also made her look at him differently. Everything happened at the same time. He isn't bad type of monster, WE know that, and she eventually did too but her first thought was of out of desperation - that's why she told the bad guys where he was and consequently he 'died'. We haven't seen it yet, but I'm guessing she abandoned the baby to protect him. This is all part of their tragic love story. Hopefully LYH gets to cameo once more later so they can have closure :)

He is! :) Do you rec Jumong, btw? I was thinking about it, but it's such a long drama and a sageuk too, I'm a little bit afraid that'll end up not keeping up.

I wasn't exactly bored, I just thought the pacing was getting so slow. And I started to watch another dramas instead, so I kinda forgot about it. I was enjoying it, but idk, maybe I wasn't connecting to the storyline I stopped at. I'm curious to know what will happen, especially to Bidam, so I'll probably finish it soon :)

The plot is simple, there aren't many characters and sometimes the comedy is a bit silly (seriously, I think every character in this drama is crazy) but I liked it. It's a romcom, although more com than rom, for sure. I'd still recommend it, since we don't see dramas like this so often these days - it's relaxed, doesn't take itself too seriously, the "villains" are pretty harmless, our leads aren't stereotyped. It's enjoyable to take a break from melodramas or other type of heavier stuff.

The jdrama that TWTWB was based on is not fully english subbed, so I haven't seen it :( I'd love to, though. I haven't seen the korean movie either. Love Rain was an okay drama for me, it dragged a lot though :/ I stopped Seon Duk at around episode 35. Should I go on? :)

what about the birth mark secretry wong remembered ?!
She remembered seeing that birth mark on him when he went to the Orphanage and saw the picture of the conman Oh Soo. That was when she realized that he was the Oh Soo who was at their house, was actually the kid who grew up at the Orphanage and not Young's real Oppa.

Miki is just 16 years old girl, the Taiwanese and Korean version of this drama have a TONS of kisses!! I don't…
That and her co-star is 9 years older, so I'm guessing we won't see that many kisses or that much skinship like on the other versions. They're still cute though :)

I have no words for TK2H, it's just amazing. :) I'm loving TWTWB myself, so I'm excited for the final episode tomorrow. But after that I'm definitely taking a break from melodramas. I cannot anymore :D I have to finish Queen Seon Duk tho. I'll be checking that one with Kim Tae-hee AND Gu Family Book, which looks cool! I'll definitely rec you TEN. It's a great drama even if you don't like procedurals or don't usually watch them. It's a great viewing.

Definitely. I even checked my list a few days ago and rated a few dramas all over again because I felt I gave them a higher score than they deserved imo. Oh lately? I've been wanting to check old-ish korean romcoms because they are definitely lacking these days. I also miss watching an historical drama, but there are a few starting soon, I might check them out. I also like to watch family dramas. I don't enjoy procedurals that much, but I gotta say TEN Season 1 was fabulous :) Yourself? I see you love The King2Hearts :D My favourite drama.

Nice to meet you too :D Yes, I couldn't word myself properly but you said it right. That last scene didn't feel like THEM, that relationship deserved a more solid ending - in a way, I even found it a bit silly that the very last scene was them chasing after the bus.

Thank you :) Yes, exactly! Up until the very final moment I was enjoying it so much. I guess I was let down by the fact that it was so... not intense? I found the drama and the love story quite intense and even realistic. But then it ends just like that? I'm not familiar with jdrama's trends as much as I'm with kdrama ones, but the ending felt like so easy, so unromantic.

Hey :) I read your comment on Tatta Hitotsu no Koi and I'm curious about your opinion on something (sorry if this sounds random): what did you think of the ending? I loved the drama but the final moments made me think less of it, probably because I was expecting a lot more? It's hard to explain.

You don't have to worry about annoying characers with Giant. One of the strongest things about the drama is how the characters are written :)

AND MY ONLY REQUEST.. PLEASE STOP SUBMIT STUPID REVIEWS IF YOU'RE NOT EVEN WATCHING IT! GEEZ! IT'S ANNOYING!
Agreed. How can people form a review of a drama that only aired 7/8 episodes out of 50? It's just starting.

I don't know if you like revenge dramas, but Giant is definitely a must watch of that genre. It does deserve a bit of commitment, but you won't regret it! :)

Title Giant
The plot sounds a lot like Japanese drama Ryusei no Kizuna... Is this related to it somehow?
Yes! It's a great drama, despite being so long it's totally worth it. It's very well written and acted :)

No, I don't think so. The plots are similar, but it's a coincidence.
