Out of his upcoming dramas, which one do you think will be a big hit?I believe he urgently needs a successful…
I'm waiting for Chinese Paladin 6 and Wonderland of Love. CP6 because of the pairing with Esther Yu, and WOL due to the budget and the director. I hope they both get picked by Netflix and reach the international audience. This is how I have discovered Xu Kai and cdramas - Netflix kept spamming me with trailers for LBFAD, later it recommended FIYS, and then I got suck into the drama world. We need more of his dramas there.
i just discovered Xu Kai in Ancient Love Poetry. He's really good1 What do you think his best dramas are? And…
For me the best ones are Falling Into Your Smile and Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain - mostly because of the comedy, story and the supporting cast, but also because they simply check most of my boxes (production, music, editing, acting, on screen chemistry, character development, comedy, quirkiness and cheesiness). These are also the first cdramas (next to LBFAD) that I have ever watched, and I will always be biased about them. I've watched them several times, with many more to come, and will never get bored of them. I haven't yet found a cdrama that would be as entertaining as these two.
Next it would be Ancient Love Poetry (story, cast and production), Arsenal Military Academy (story, cast, production, opening theme) and Royal Feast (story, cast, production, food scenes). Then I would place dramas that I had some issues with, but I still like them (I like all his dramas): The Legends (I liked the story and characters, but not the editing..), Court Lady (comedy and cast, but the editing and some plots were tiring), She and Her Perfect Husband (overall ok, but the supporting cast and some of the plots were tiring), Lost in the Kunlun Mountains (I should probably re-watch this one. I saw it right after Alchemy of Souls and got fooled by the trailer. I was expecting to see action, but got the boring politics instead. I skipped many scenes because of that, but I liked the rest that I saw. Production and costumes ok, but the editing at the end..).
I havenβt seen Dance of the Sky Empire (I have it on my list though) and Story of Yanxi Palace (I know it is one of his best dramas, but it is 70 episodes of a palace drama..).
Like I said ...it was going to be a sad open ending. He's dead but his consciousness lives in the heart sheilding…
Oh, So TTJ did the same thing Scholar Pang did? Oooh, that's why the daughter is using present time when she mentions her father! I thought it was a bad translation. Now the ending makes sense to me!
So true. Fingers crossed they won't mess up the ending, and give us a good one... For me it doesn't really matter…
I've just finished the last episode... This drama should have been divided into two seasons. Why didn't they do that? π’ I really liked the immortal arc. It deserved to have its own season... So much content erased, just like that π π π
Hi, Was it originally planned for this drama to have 40 episodes? I'm fresh from TTEOTM, and I don't know if I can emotionally handle another drama that had its episodes reduced..
I finished 11 episodes and it's really really good. It's been a long time since I watched a Chinese drama. After…
Is The Untamed really that good? I have it on my list, but every time I want to watch it, I end up choosing something else. Love Between Fairy and Devil was my first drama ever. After that I watched Alchemy of Souls, and then Falling Into Your Smile. Those have kind of set up a bar for me in terms of production and entertainment. How does the Untamed look like compared to them?
