I'm really curious to know what his next drama will be. Hope we will get some news soon.
Dunno whats next but I'd love to see him working with Edward Guo at some point. Such collaboration would be a real visual feast 🤤 But that's just my wishful thinking...

Thanks for the tip :) I'm from Europe, and BCE is not even listed when you check the cast profiles on iqiyi. I've just managed to watch the first episode via VPN, so all good :)
A question to those who watch this on iQiyi. I have iQiyi and it says that the show is not available for my location :( Any idea which regions have the license?
Considering that I am not from China, I am a living example of Xu Kai's universal appeal. For the longest time…
I thought I replied here, but obviously I didn't, sorry 🙏💦 Yeah, some names can be hard to remember. I can recall only two or three Korean names, Seo In Guk being one of them 😅 He is a chameleon. Has a different approach to every role he plays. Even considers the way his characters are supposed to breathe (this may come from his background as a singer). I haven’t seen all of his works yet, but enjoyed the ones I saw. “A Smile Has Left Your Eyes” and “Cafe Minamdang” are my favorite dramas of his.
Xu Kai is also devoted to his characters, works hard, and can act, despite not having the background in acting. I like to see how they both grow and evolve, that’s why I follow them both. They have a different rewatch value though. I can watch XK anytime and on a loop, but need to be in the right mood for SIG. Oh, and they both “struggle” with weight 😅
I saw Crash landing on you, but liked the supporting cast more than the main leads. I haven't watched Arthdal Chronicles, but I see it’s on Netflix, so I may check it out one day. Thanks for recommending it 🙂
falling into your smile airs on netflix? isn't netflix banned in china
FIYS was my first Xu Kai drama (I've watched it after LBFAD, which was my first drama ever), and I found it on Netflix :) The second one was Lingjian Mountain. Only these two are available in my region (Europe). It varies from country to country I guess. Anyway, if it wasn't for Netflix and its recommendations, I probably would never have entered the Dramaland.
I have access to more titles on Viki: WoL, SEL, SAHPH, FIYS, ALP, Court Lady, Arsenal, Legends, Yanxi Palace. As for Royal Feast, Kunlun, and the Sky Empire, they are on YouTube. But I don't like YT, because the sound is sometimes missing from the videoes or is replaced with some weird music due to licensing.

May I ask which kdrama actor is your fav? For me it's Xu Kai for cdramas, and Seo In Guk for kdramas. These two gentlemen are the absolute kings of my dramaland.
Falling Into Your Smile ranked 1415 with 15M "views". This is a good result imho, given the drama is not available worldwide. She and Her Perfect Husband ranked 4059, Once Upon A Time In Lingjian Mountain 5806, Story of Yanxi Palace 7008. Congratulations to Xu Kai, our global ambassador :) May he have more dramas on Netflix!
I haven't analyzed the report, but here are some other c-dramas that I've spotted: Love Between Fairy and Devil (1024), Till The End of The Moon (1051), Who Rules the World (1407), The Rational Life (2632), The King's Avatar (3713), The Blue Whisper (6444), The Oath of Love (7789), Hidden Love (15702).
Finished and rewatching 😊 The biggest flaw of this drama for me is the fake horse, and occasionally the Wonderland Plain CGI. Otherwise, perfection ╰(✿´⌣`✿)╯♡
It took me from December of last year until yesterday to finish this series (I could’ve finished sooner but…
Thank you for the comment. I will try to finish the 50-ep version then. I'm on the Burial Mounds episodes now, and find this plot to be more interesting than the previous ones. Hail to the potatoes and turnips! They keep me going. I still hate the scenes when all the clans are gathered and talk politics, so maybe I will try to speed watch them. Thank you for the tip, btw! I've heard that people sometimes watch dramas at higher speed, but I haven't tried that yet.
I'm on ep. 20-ish and struggle to continue. There are so many scenes that seem irrelevant and are plain boring (I don't mean to offend anybody here, it's just how I feel). The hype about this drama tells me it will get better, but at this point finishing it feels more like a task for me. I've heard that the special edition has different montage and scenes. Should I watch that one instead? Or will I miss too much of the story? I don't really care about the clans and what they do. Just want to follow the MLs story and enjoy the cinematography.
I wish he would take any crime/thriller genre webseries.
Thriller/mystery/romance drama, yes please. I have just finished The Smile Has Left Your Eyes, and I think Xu Kai would be perfect as ML, if there ever was a Chinese remake.

(available here: https://about.netflix.com/en/news/what-we-watched-a-netflix-engagement-report). There is a lot of k-dramas on the top of the ranking. 18214 titles in total.
