The problem with these releases is actors competing with themselves, or having similar projects aired one after another then nothing for the rest of the year.

I am a ZLY fan but this doesnt offend me. Fans need to understand this is business.I think Tencent needed a high traffic drama to attract more subscribers and to impact the other dramas following. Xianxia dramas costs more to make and attract more viewers. Shenli got its license and they released immediately because they would be in danger if the other platforms released their high budget costume dramas to compete with them. Imagine investing a lot of money and not getting a good return. Tencent is aiming to be the top this year, they invested a lot in their costumes dramas, so they want to make as much money as possible. They should have released ABAY after Shenli, but i think they thought Yangzi x Xukai could bring more viewers. They will guarantee high traffic for summer like this they still have LYF 2 and JOL 2 .
