Whoever says, Li Xun is a "bad boy" type completely missed the point of the story. He is just a real, imperfect, yet passionate guy. His quotes in their college days just show how he was forced to mature years before his classmates. Yes, he is extremely impulsive and i hated him at times for this, but thats how humans are. I was very skeptical about his character first because i just could not understand what he was thinking, but just like Zhu Yun went with his flow, I started understanding how mature his ideas were. I am 17, so there were many things he said that I was like "what" but thinking closely, they are so so so deep. "Everything (dreams, plans, relationships) is the way it is supposed to be in the beginning. But the further you go, the further we deviate from the original purpose". Like how deep is that!? How many of us recall our childhood dreams? And how much have they modified over time. Li Xun also says that "we work hard to just stop everything from deviating form its origin," thats just like saying shoot for the stars and hit the moon. Damn this guy is my new obsession.
Going to fun parts, Chen Fei Yu or Li Xun is insanely hot and handsome, but I thought his charisma went downhill over the course of the show. Blond hair Li Xun > long brown hair > military cut. Lmao I know this is controversial but as a teen, I was just more attracted to the young and wild Li Xun.
Welp I have to figure out how to move on now. TMI, last winter break I binged Zhang Jing Yi's other drama "Fall in Love". She is so amazing there too, and the show is good too. "Lighter and Princess" has set some unrealistic expectations for me though. I am going to the uni majoring in CS next year so I am gonna be prepared to meet some villains lmao.
I almost missed a gem, because of ridiculous comments. This drama is absolutely AMAZING!! And I am not an amateur in dramas. I love Deng Lun from the bottom of my heart and his potential is fully unleashed in this show. If people need stats, in 2017, this drama broke the 2% watching record and almost EVERYONE in China knew about the plot. Seriously, I was talking with a friend from Nanjing yesterday, and she was like yeah "yin wei yu jian ni" was the topic of discussion at dinner tables and grocery stores in 2017. The best part of this drama is that there are no major misunderstandings or breakups between the main couple despite having room for it. Yun Kai, our beautiful ML, was literally so so perfect. And unlike the popular opinion, the FL was also amazing. I loved her genuine kindness and character growth over the episodes. At times, the show did get frustrating as nothing was revealed till almost the very end, but on the brighter side, the first 75% of the drama focused on the main couple's relationship. Also, I never knew Deng Lun could play a father role so perfectly 😭❤️. Overall, don't miss out on this show, it is worth it in the end, The last scene was so sweet, I can't. We need a season 2 to complete the "treating Yi Bei to pizza" promise lol.
This was legit the best thing that happened to me today. I started the first episode out of blue and there was a Deng Lun cameo!! DENG LUN ey!! I loved him so much in AOL and Sweat Dreams and he has rarely been in the media recently. Him smile and slight Beijing accent is just ahh, so attractive. I literally jumped like a woman seeing her husband come back from war lmao.
