Love and Redemption was easily better. It was like a combination of Untamed and AOL. LR focused more on friendship and familial relationships and had mood-lightening characters like Teng She, Wu Zhi Ji, and purple fox. Yes SiFeng suffered much much more than XuFeng in AOL but I liked how both of them believed in each other till the very end. The fact that there is no SML or SFL is enough to make me fall in love with this drama. The only 2 characters I hated were Bailing and YuanLang more so Bailing with his stupid "for the three realms."
I did however, enjoy JinMi and Xu Feng's time in the mortal world as King Yi and saintess. I think that was the best part of the drama, especially XuFeng's acting at the end of it.
AOL OST's are more soothing and melodramatic versus LR OST by Liu Yuning is more powerful and uplifting. I like the aspect of women rights and gender equality in LR over AOL.
Chemistry wise, I honestly felt that XuFeng and JinMi's romance was forced. In LR they were friends before l;overs which is always the best part as they were very comfortable with each other all along. Also the kisses were singlehandedly better than AOL.
Overall, both are great but I prefer Love and Redemption anytime.

Does Leo Wu have a wife or girlfriend? He never seems to do intimate scenes with actresses. Like he is great at conveying emotions through acting but not very comfortable with kiss scenes. He was like that in Long Ballad too.
Ok I am confused. Did they actually get married in Hua city or did they plan to? Like the emperor said he wanted them to marry ONCE AGAIN in the palace so does that mean they already got married before the emperor knew?? Ugh I wish we got a marriage scene, I love historical cdrama marriages.
