Fast-talking career gal is a trope. But thank you for clarifying because I do agree with you to some extent. I have previously commented that the 'drawn-out misunderstandings' trope is entirely tired and worn-out. No doubt there are others.

Dahlia Hawtorne has a retinue of butterflies. Now I expect KSH will be surrounded by (tiny-drone) fireflies!

It has a good take on a "fast-talking career gal" full of spunk & passion, IMO. The humor has really grown on me.

Kim Mi Gyeong will eventually demonstrate to all how she truly is indispensable. I previously speculated that her personal potato plant will somehow become important. (Could it be the one which survived the May snow freeze? Is it one of the Maroo? Maybe both?)

Maybe all the other plants will be destroyed, and the company will need to pay her a huge sum to purchase or license it? Or for some other reason. Mi Gyeong is a "diamond in the rough" so its fitting that her ascendance be paralleled with that of the starchy variety.

Agreed. Some dramas have begun to defy this trend. I think writers are really smart & courageous when they can avoid this trope, resolve misunderstandings quickly and add more plot instead of dragging out angst & dread!

What were the age of consent laws in SK when KSR was 15? When were these laws last revised? How old was KSR when these laws were last revised? If no laws applied to KSR's situation when she was 15 or when the laws were last revised, why is this situation still in the public interest and concern to the fans and family of KSR today?
