Is there really AI-generated content in this drama?

Oh yeah I've noticed it's not the most popular drama ^^" I watched it probably a decade ago or something, it was pretty new then xD I loved Lee Soohyuk in it (: I think I once posted about hoping that Lee Soohyuk could find more successful projects, because a lot of his dramas have been bad (not his fault tho) or just kinda mid ^^"

The synopsis reminds me of the Kdrama Lucky Romance, where the FL is told by a fortune teller that she needs to sleep with a man born in a specific time, so that she'll have good fortune and she'll be able to help her sister (or something like that)

The end twist was super interesting, but I also have mixed feelings about it because honestly the guy who got killed was a CREEP and a perv and I did not feel bad at all about him being dead, and his killer was legit a victim. And not just of the dead guy's creepiness but otherwise too and I really understand their motivations. Reminds me of the Brooklyn 99 scene where Jake Peralta says "Cool motive, still murder!" but I honestly really think the killer should have gotten even a little bit of lenience and empathy in the end.

This has been on my Netflix watchlist for a couple of years now, and tonight I finally decided to watch it. And I actually enjoyed this a lot! Sure it was a liiittle bit cringy in the beginning, but when I got past that and got used to the style of humour they used, I was hooked and even laughing at some scenes and lines (:
The costumes and scenery were insanely pretty, and the characters were fun reinterpretations of the classic fairytale characters everyone knows. The only thing that bugged me a little was the ending, but it wasn't all bad and didn't ruin the movie or anything like that. (I can explain in more detail what I mean by this in a spoiler tagged comment below.)
Overall I really recommend this if you like fantasy stuff spiced with mystery, humour and pretty costumes haha ^^
But I need to mention one trigger warning just to be safe: there is one scene of animal cruelty, but it's luckily not graphic at all (the camera moved away & didn't show the animal when it happened, and the impact was only kinda heavily implied) and the scene is very short.

I just finished all three seasons and I already miss this show ): It's honestly a tragedy that they only made 3 seasons and the 3rd one was even shorter than the first two and honestly left a lot of questions unanswered. I wonder if COVID was at least part of the reasoning on why this show had to end like it did? The timeline could maybe fit that theory. But anyway, this may end up being a comfort show for me that I'll end up rewatching a lot. I love the cast and they're so funny together! There were several occasions where I actually laughed out loud. Also all the cameos were legendary! I really wish they'd bring this show back but I'm not gonna hold my breath

I thought that it was also great and lucky that of all people Heechul got the Chulborghini/BoongBoong, since I know his legs aren't really in a good shape. I hope it helped him so that he didn't have to strain himself too much. And it was nice that he managed to make a little money with it too xD Also, has poor Narae been stuck on the island for 5 years now? T-T xDD Someone make the second season fast and save her!

I love Heechul so much and got reminded of the reasons why I love him while watching this xD He was so great in this, it would be amazing to have him come back if they ever want to make another season. But honestly the whole cast was great and made me laugh out loud several times :D

Aaaaaa I loved this so much! This was such a sweet show, I was smiling, laughing and even crying a little while watching this ^^ PS x HJ are possibly my fave reality show couple of all time, I could not stop smiling while watching them together, I was literally grinning from ear to ear! <3 I was so happy to see good news about them still being a couple (at least from my current knowledge), I hope they'll last forever <3

I also really liked the panel, they were all great but I was so pleasantly surprised when I saw both Kyuhyun and Suhyun on it because I love both SuJu and AkMu a lot ^^

So basically even though I liked this soooo much, I only scored this 8.5 because I got so icked out by that one teacher basically encouraging these kids to use ChatGPT ://// I'm an Official AI Hater but still I couldn't believe an educator would actually teach kids to use that misinformation/plagiarism machine, it's insane. I skipped all the way past that lesson, it felt gross.

Also I heard JY and JW aren't together anymore, and I can't say I'm surprised lol. JY needs a few more years and some more dating experience, he was SO DENSE and reserved it was at times frustrating to watch lol. At one point he was like "I couldn't tell her because then she'd know how I feel :/" and I literally said out loud "THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT??????" LOL. Anyway, I'm a little sad after watching the reunion because it was kind of heavily implied that JM & YR aren't together anymore. The vibe between them was off. They were really sweet on the show, they had a lot of fun together, but I guess maybe JM gets fired up too fast and maybe gets cold fast too? Or maybe YR wasn't as open to or ready for a relationship with him as she initially thought. Whatever it was, it's a shame, but I hope they'll both be happy even if they're apart. I actually wish the whole cast the best, I hope all of them have had great first years of adulthood!

I'm turning 28 this year and I still enjoyed this a lot! Age doesn't matter, preferences in what type of content you like is a different thing though

Why are so many of you so negative and hateful towards Yi Do? Someone here even called her the c-word and I'm just flabbergasted as to why, because Yi Do did literally NOTHING wrong and in fact she handled the whole thing like a champ! Though she had a good reason to act out and curse JM out, she didn't, she removed herself from the difficult situations to deal with her feelings privately, and in the end wished him well, which was very cool and mature of her. Honestly it highkey seems like some of y'all's misogyny is showing. If anyone on this show really deserved some criticism it was some of the guys, definitely not Yi Do.

It's absolutely insane that this drama has "Comedy" as its first genre tag, considering that in the very first episode gangsters torch the main characters' pig farm with all the pigs still inside, left to die in the flames, and then a few moments later the same gangsters fake the suicide of the pig farm owner?? Forcing him to leave behind his pregnant wife?? How is this a comedy T_T

My one complaint: I was lowkey a little disappointed by the reveal of The Bad Guy, because I was honestly waiting for a juicier reveal/plot twist. I was a bit disappointed that the bad guy turned out to be a supporting character who was barely even there and whose name I didn't even fully pick up during the story because he was that insignificant. I just really thought the twist was going to be bigger and more shocking, i.e. that the bad guy would be like Baekdu's dad or the Pildu ahjussi for example, who were more integral to the overall plot and more visible as characters.

I just finished this, and I have to say it took me a moment before I got invested, but eventually I got sucked in and had to watch it in it's entirety :D I guess it's a bit of a slow burn?
The characters are very charming with their accents, especially Baekdu. I also eventually got really invested in the ssireum storyline, and I loved all the ssireum matches. It seems like such an interesting sport!
The mystery aspect was done nicely too, I just have one complaint that I'll add with a spoiler tag because I don't want to spoil anything. Overall I rated this 8.5, as in not perfect but pretty good and enjoyable. I just had to have patience to sit through the first episodes and let the story slowly but surely take me along with it.

Just finished this and it was okay! If you want to watch something really short and sweet, I can recommend this. I mean it is very short, only 12 episodes and each one is about 30 minutes long, so this went by in a flash :D

The only things that bothered me enough to only score this a 7 were that sometimes the production felt a bit amateur-ish, the sound management wasn't always the best (i.e. dialogue would sometimes get muffled by loud bird/insect sounds) and there was some very obvious and strange editing (i.e. I could clearly see that they put a conversation together by stringing together separate clips), and I honestly found the chemistry between the leads to be a bit lacking. But overall it's not a bad drama, though it's nothing mindblowing either ^^" My favourite part of this may have been the little kid Seondong (Jung Shi Yool), he was a really fun character :D Also I just now realized that the male lead was in a BL drama I've seen called "You Make Me Dance" and also in "The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call"! I didn't connect the dots until visiting his MDL page haha.

Also I was about to mention lightheartedly how much the supporting actor Na Chul resembled Super Junior's Kyuhyun, only to visit his MDL page and find out that he passed away the next year of this drama airing ): May he rest in peace.

I'm very confused on why they ended the series the way they did? Did they run out of time or what? Because I really thought the last episode would have had Moeum coming back to Korea in time to attend Seokryu and Seunghyo's wedding, and at the same time reunite with Danho and Yeondu ): I'm actually really disappointed we didn't even get to see the wedding! There was so much talk about proposing and wedding planning, I feel a bit cheated now. Like, they added a 10 month time skip to the end anyway, why couldn't that timeskip have been 12 months or more instead so we could have had Moeum come back and possibly have the wedding then too? Or are they planning on a second season for some reason?

These comments are so negative for some reason, because this was just fine imo. It's a romcom spiced with some very serious plot points, and I don't think it's trying to be anything that it's not.

The only reason I only rated it 8 and not higher was because I found some of the conflicts in the very end a bit unnecessary, and because I didn't like them promoting an AI assistant, and also at one point there was a kids' book that had a cover which seemed suspiciously AI-like :/ I'm pretty much a certified AI-hater, it's basically destroying life as we know it by poisoning the environment, wasting water, making people stupid and ignorant relying on a misinformation machine, and making RAM insanely expensive.

But they kind of did have a reason to dislike him though? He was the reason their friend (the former chief of the lab) got fired and replaced, and he rubbed them the wrong way from the start by being kind of arrogant and rigid. And the FL did have a reason to dislike him too, considering he works for the company that made her life h*ll and replaced her boss whom she really liked and respected. Also like half of the plot was about him becoming less rigid and corporate and more humble and opening up to others, he did not start out as a perfect hero.

To be honest, this wasn't a perfect drama, it's silly and lowkey did not make any sense at some points, but frankly I did not care! At all! I love me some silly romcoms, and this is one of them. I got hooked, I watched the whole thing in like three days and had to literally force myself to take breaks from it because I got so invested! And that's huge for me, because I've been in a bit of a slump and have had a hard time lately finding k-dramas that interest me enough to watch them.

Also I love Kang Tae Oh, he was perfect for the role of So Baek Ho ^^ though I might also just have a huge soft spot for male lead characters that start out a little cold but get warm and fuzzy when they're in love haha, sue me lol. His smile is just so charming! And I found the leads to have really great chemistry with each other, they got me feeling all fuzzy and giddy even before any kiss scenes happened xD And overall the whole cast was great, idk what people here mean when they say they didn't like the FL or her friend, I found them fun and a little bit relatable as an adult with some long-time friends. The villagers were great too, even if their roles were a bit small overall.

To sum up, if you generally like romcoms, I strongly recommend this one. Don't let all the negative comments deter you too much, at least give it a chance! At most you lose like an hour of your time and can move on to something else, or you might actually like it and watch it all to the end like me :D
