Title Love Next Door Spoiler
I'm very confused on why they ended the series the way they did? Did they run out of time or what? Because I really thought the last episode would have had Moeum coming back to Korea in time to attend Seokryu and Seunghyo's wedding, and at the same time reunite with Danho and Yeondu ): I'm actually really disappointed we didn't even get to see the wedding! There was so much talk about proposing and wedding planning, I feel a bit cheated now. Like, they added a 10 month time skip to the end anyway, why couldn't that timeskip have been 12 months or more instead so we could have had Moeum come back and possibly have the wedding then too? Or are they planning on a second season for some reason?

These comments are so negative for some reason, because this was just fine imo. It's a romcom spiced with some very serious plot points, and I don't think it's trying to be anything that it's not.

The only reason I only rated it 8 and not higher was because I found some of the conflicts in the very end a bit unnecessary, and because I didn't like them promoting an AI assistant, and also at one point there was a kids' book that had a cover which seemed suspiciously AI-like :/ I'm pretty much a certified AI-hater, it's basically destroying life as we know it by poisoning the environment, wasting water, making people stupid and ignorant relying on a misinformation machine, and making RAM insanely expensive.

Title The Potato Lab Spoiler
The girl and the villagers are incredibly rude! The guy is a guest in their village, yet they treat him so poorly…
But they kind of did have a reason to dislike him though? He was the reason their friend (the former chief of the lab) got fired and replaced, and he rubbed them the wrong way from the start by being kind of arrogant and rigid. And the FL did have a reason to dislike him too, considering he works for the company that made her life h*ll and replaced her boss whom she really liked and respected. Also like half of the plot was about him becoming less rigid and corporate and more humble and opening up to others, he did not start out as a perfect hero.

To be honest, this wasn't a perfect drama, it's silly and lowkey did not make any sense at some points, but frankly I did not care! At all! I love me some silly romcoms, and this is one of them. I got hooked, I watched the whole thing in like three days and had to literally force myself to take breaks from it because I got so invested! And that's huge for me, because I've been in a bit of a slump and have had a hard time lately finding k-dramas that interest me enough to watch them.

Also I love Kang Tae Oh, he was perfect for the role of So Baek Ho ^^ though I might also just have a huge soft spot for male lead characters that start out a little cold but get warm and fuzzy when they're in love haha, sue me lol. His smile is just so charming! And I found the leads to have really great chemistry with each other, they got me feeling all fuzzy and giddy even before any kiss scenes happened xD And overall the whole cast was great, idk what people here mean when they say they didn't like the FL or her friend, I found them fun and a little bit relatable as an adult with some long-time friends. The villagers were great too, even if their roles were a bit small overall.

To sum up, if you generally like romcoms, I strongly recommend this one. Don't let all the negative comments deter you too much, at least give it a chance! At most you lose like an hour of your time and can move on to something else, or you might actually like it and watch it all to the end like me :D

What the hell even happened in the last episodes?? They just broke up Rini and Kyungjoon, for an issue they could have solved together if they tried btw, and gave them no closure whatsoever, and introduced a new couple pretty much out of nowhere. I mean yea they built up something by constantly mentioning Minho's character's good looks and lack of dating history, but that storyline shouldn't have come in the way of actually finishing the story arc for one of the main couples we watched for much longer.

On Yumi's Cells Season 2 Mar 28, 2023
Title Yumi's Cells Season 2 Spoiler
I really have some beef with the writing in this drama, ugh. Sh*tty communication all around, it seemed like most of the time Yumi and her partners could solve like 99% of their problems if they just talked about them like adults. Instead Yumi doesn't handle her feelings well and she doesn't communicate clearly about them either. I genuinely feel bad for Babi and Woong, it seems they have both been unnecessarily dragged along by Yumi. I hate that all these relationships are such a mess, because I really like the Cells and I think the concept is really fun and cool. Too bad the story isn't very good, both of the seasons have left me feeling really unsatisfied :/

Also who else thinks that Yumi 100% overreacted when she broke up with Babi the first time? Like he was always legit a perfect boyfriend up until that point, and we are all human, humans have feelings and you can't control feelings, only your actions. Even though Babi experienced some fleeting feelings or a small crush on someone other than Yumi, he never acted on those feelings because he genuinely loved Yumi. He only wanted to be with her and no one else, but it seems that a partner having ONE single fault is too much for Yumi so she dumped him ://

At the end of s2 they teased a new man entering her life and I honestly almost hope they won't make another season because I can't take this nonsense anymore. I was disappointed after season one's nonsense breakup, and started season 2 in hopes they would do better this time, and I was disappointed again. It's extra sad and disappointing because this drama and its concept (the cells) had so much potential, like this drama could have become one of my all-time favourites if they didn't butcher the story and relationships like this.

Review An Incurable Case of Love Spoiler
Sure this show is a mess but I don't see this being a mess because of age gap issue. FL is acting immature even…
5-8 years is not that big of an age gap IF both people involved are over 25. Human brain keeps on developing still in the early to mid 20s. So a 23yo is in a VERY different place both mentally and in stage of life than a 30yo. I am not calling 30yos old, I'm simply saying a 23yo is most of the time too young to date people in their 30s, because of the brain development issue.
Also a 23yo is just beginning their adult life, and a 30yo is already a well established adult which can cause a power imbalance. My biggest issue however is the fact that the FL was very immature and child-like even for a 23yo, which gave me gross vibes when so many grown men were going after her. Either way we can agree to disagree.

First, a disclaimer that I really like and respect Holland! This show however was kiiiind of bad, but in a very endearing way xD The filming location was pretty and the actors did an okay job (Holland was cute haha), but the editing and the story were a bit messy even if the premise was good.

Title Yumi's Cells Spoiler
I loved this drama during the first half. I loved the cells, and I loved the relationship between Yumi and Woong. However especially in the last few episodes everything went downhill fast because neither of the leads could communicate to save their lives!!! I always HATE when dramas use miscommunication as a big plot device to create unnecessary drama where there's none.
They were so happy together, they could still have been in the end if they only TALKED to each other honestly about how they feel!! So frustrating, because pretty much all of their issues could have been solved but they were too darn proud and stubborn to even try. The final breakup was a very unsatisfying ending for me, neither of them really got closure or any explanation.
Also I found it really weird how fast Woong went from first lifting Yumi to be his #1 priority to suddenly wanting to end the relationship?? That's a huge plot hole for me.
I'm hesitant to start watching season 2 because I'm so scared I'll end up disappointed again. Especially since apparently Yoo Babi seems to be the male lead in it?? He was an ok character, but also kind of bland and I didn't get any chemistry between him and Yumi.

It seems this isn't available on Viki anymore? I tried to look for it through the Viki link above ("Where To Watch") and also I tried to search it on Viki's search bar but found nothing ): I wanted to watch all three Flower Boy dramas (Flower Boy Ramyun Shop, Flower Boy Next Door and this one) but apparently I can't watch this one, rip

Title Love by Chance Spoiler
It happens in the last episode and involves one of the side couples. (Kengkla x Techno) It is actual rape, not…
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question <3 ^^

I see there's the tag "rape", how severe is it and how much does it affect the story? It's one of the tags that I always absolutely try to avoid but this drama seems very sweet and I'd probably put it on my PTW if it wasn't for that tag :/

Thank you so much, I'm glad my ranting was even somewhat useful :D

No I haven't! Or at least I don't remember watching it haha. Is it a similar romcom style drama?

I wasn't even expecting anything deep haha :D I usually really enjoy simple romcoms, but this one was still a little bit underwhelming for me and I found myself getting bored, but yeah that's just my personal opinion ^^"

This drama was okay, it was VERY fast-paced, everything happened quite quickly, but still this managed to be a bit boring. Also they had wayy too many sex scenes, like usually I have no problem with intimate scenes and sex scenes whatsoever, but if you have one or two of them in every episode, they kinda start to lose their meaning.

I tried to watch this back in 2016-2017, usually I'm all over dramas where the girl pretends to be a man (Coffee Prince is one of my all time faves), but this one was such a snooze fest. That's why I put in "on hold" back then, thinking "oh maybe I'll have the strength'/motivation to finish this some day". It has now been "on hold" for almost 5 years, so you could say its status changed to "dropped" somewhere along the line lol . The drama was so boring I can't remember anything about the plot, and trust me when I say that I don't normally drop dramas without finishing them. This just left no impression on me whatsoever, even though I really like Park Bogum.
