Honorable mention goes to Love in the Moonlight. At no point did I think the ML was not the better choice or I didn't love him completely, but oh /man/ did the SML make my heart hurt. The exact same goes for the SML in My Lovely Liar. That was rough.

Glad to know. What's hilarious is I found this show and added it to my anticipated list ages ago after ADORING Tushan Jing's actor in a different show and being RELIEVED that he was going to be the ML because he was the SML in the other and now here I am suffering ... because he's the SML.

Also like, case in point, my girl is near death and Jing's solution is to die because that's it peace out homies he's in a coma MEANWHILE THE TRUE ML OF MY HEART AKA Xiang Liu is doing literally eVERYTHING he can to keep her alive. He literally stormed into enemy grounds ready to be killed because he was like I'm gonna save her okay I have to.

That's because I went in intending to watch an episode or two and then binged all night oops. I started off really liking Tushan Jing and I think he's a great person and all but as a love interest, I'm so BORED. He was great for like ... four episodes. I DID NOT EXPECT THE DUDE WHO STARTED OFF wITH HURTING HER to be the one who's literally, time and time again, made her happy, saved her life, given her strength, and just helped her over and OVER. It hurts me so much because he genuinely cares about her SO MUCH.
Don't get me wrong, Tushan Jing isn't BAD but like ... my dude asked for 15 years to break off an engagement lol. I know it's more than that, and I know he genuinely loves her too but in terms of storytelling, he's really not that interesting a character img.
I'm not done yet but I AM suffering.

@bloomingtide Okay this actually makes a /lot/ of sense and also sounds so wholesome and cute! There’s this one show that is dubbed in my family’s native language on some random channel that my mom watches and it feels like it’s been airing for /forever/, and I just figured they split up the kdrama episodes to make it longer but now, having looked at the links you’ve provided, I’ve realized it’s actually Once Again (It's because I love Lee Sang Yeob and I recognized him immediately lol). These sound like such lovely comfort watches and something great to watch with the family too, I guess I’ve never realized how many episodes they are though. I love that you get to see all the characters’ proper growth, that sounds really exciting and now I want to add a bunch to my never ending to watch list! I’ll take your recommendations that you left below for sure (surprisingly, I had two of them on my list already!).

Y'all, if neural coupling was a reason he actually believed, he could have given it to his gf/fiancé. I agree with Hong Joo, he is being a coward by not expressing his feelings and emotions in general. Not speaking up when he magically got back together with the gf he broke up with (like ... that felt weird, right?), not speaking up when they set the date without him, not speaking up when his gf asks about the pictures (like, the best you could do was I'm swaying? AND NOT WARNING HONG JOO that the fiancé knows something? Or thinks she does? Why was he not more upset about her being unrightfully slapped?), not speaking up about his aCTUAL FEELINGS. Kissing someone is one thing, but until you say the words, until you actively make decisions for your life, no (smart) girl would want that. He's basically doing everything but confessing because he wants to be able to fall back on his usual "haha you believed that I can't believe you believed it cycle" (which he did again in his office when she said the kiss meant nothing). She was so right, what if she /does/ put meaning in the kiss, nothing changes! UNTIL HE DOES !! SOMETHING !!

Cheating is not okay period. I don't care if she's doing it too. I kind of hate that it showed us that actually because now people feel okay about what he's doing. And it's not fair to the FL either. Rowoon, come on, I'm trusting you, please fix this thanks bye.
