Zouey could have just said no.....instead he turned his best friend over to someone who he knew was a rapist and…
I don't know if this will be helpful in understanding my attitude, but I have this character trait - I try to explain everyone's behavior. Especially those who cannot defend themselves. I have no control over it. I think if you ask me, I will defend Nant's behavior. I might even theorize about Lee's likely difficult childhood. I'm sorry.
Zouey could have just said no.....instead he turned his best friend over to someone who he knew was a rapist and…
This is how I see it (It may not be 100% correct, these are my guesses and analyses): "The answer to all this is fear and shame. The most powerful feelings, almost entirely beyond human control. We need to analyse what Zouey felt. Zouey was in love with Lee. Little did he know that he was a dangerous psychopath. He idealised him, just as he idealised Teena (By the way, Zouey only had sex with Teena when he stopped idealising him - Zouey was afraid of being blinded by love again, just as he was blinded by love for Lee). He knows Lee is the father of the Porsche, so he is ashamed and doesn't tell anyone about it. Lee seduces and manipulates him - he sends him lovely messages. Zouey is in ecstasy because he thinks someone important loves him. We all know what first love is like - we think we are on top of the world, we idealise the world. While Zouey was feeling all this, he was raped by Lee. Rape victims feel shame so great that it is impossible to imagine. They blame themselves. In their imagination they twist what happened, telling themselves that it was their fault. They often hear that they did something that led to it. This is exactly how Zouey felt. He felt shame. He felt dirty. He was afraid that when others found out what had happened to him, they would forever look at him as "that raped boy". At this point, Nant gets involved in all of this. Nant finds out what has happened. He wants to reveal Lee's secret, using Zouey in the process. I'm sure Zouey told him not to do it, but Nant insisted. Look at it from Zouey's perspective. He must have been terrified. The thing he feared most was going to happen because Nant wanted it to happen. We can say that what Nant wanted to do was to help Zouey and it was the right thing to do. But we say it completely objectively. We do not feel the fear that Zouey felt. In my opinion, Nant is using Zouey to save himself from Lee. Let's remember that Nant is already involved in the drug case. In this situation, Zouey can only ask for help from one person, the one who knows what happened and will not let anyone find out the truth - Lee. Lee is the king of manipulation, after he raped Zouey, I'm sure he treated Zouey as if Zouey himself wanted it to happen. Zouey tells himself that it was his fault, that he wanted it himself. That is why he talks to Lee in a 'normal' way. All he feel is shame. Perhaps Zouey still doesn't know that Lee is a dangerous criminal. It is not known whether Nant told him everything. To Zouey, Lee is Porsche's father and the man with whom he shares a shameful secret. I guess Zouey tells Lee that Nant wants to reveal their secret, but he doesn't know what Lee will do with it. Nant disappears. Zouey doesn't know what happened. He cares too, maybe he blames himself. He probably thinks Nant has escaped. Later, Nont shows up and Zouey agrees to help him search. Zouey is still worried about someone finding out about his secret, but I think he also wants to find out what happened to Nant. I think it's only at this point that Zouey learns how dangerous Lee is. I think that's when Zouey finds out that Lee had Nant locked up in his club. I think this is when Zouey helps Nant escape. Zouey doesn't want Nant to meet Nont so that his secret will be safe. He's still scared, but he wants Nant to be safe. He arranged for him to go abroad. Nant might have been safe, but instead of doing as Zouey told him, he did something else. Zouey is not bad. Throughout this situation, he behaves like an animal caught in a trap - he fights for his life. Zouey thinks that if anyone finds out what happened to him, his life will be over. It must also not be forgotten that Nant is also guilty. He doesn't try to understand Zouey. He just wants to put Lee in jail to avoid his wrath over the drug case.

I'm sure Zouey refused, even if it wasn't shown in the episode. I can assure you that people who are in a similar situation to Zoey, whose abusers are respected and influential people, refuse to go to the police for fear of being accused of lying. Nant should respect that. As for why Zouey turned to Lee for help, I wrote a long post about it in a comment somewhere. Let me find it and copy it.
Let's be honest. Everyone writes that Zouey betrayed Nant, his friend. But who really betrayed whom? Zouey was…
I know I'm constantly arguing with others about this, but it doesn't give me peace of mind that Zouey is so misunderstood. It's impossible to consider his behavior in logical terms. Put yourselves in his shoes. That fear. That shame. And then the person he thought was his best friend finds out everything and all he thinks about is to use the existence of the worst day in Zouey's life to his own advantage. It's awful.
Let's be honest. Everyone writes that Zouey betrayed Nant, his friend. But who really betrayed whom? Zouey was raped by the man he was in love with. And then his "friend" Nant wants to reveal this information in front of everyone to put Lee in jail, because Lee is after him because of drugs. If Nant had been a real friend, he wouldn't have pressured Zouey, he would have let him choose whether to reveal it or not. Nant was selfish. He only thought about his situation. It was his behavior that made Zouey act like a cornered animal. Zouey had to fight for his life, because for him, revealing his secret was like ending his life.
I don't think Teena will be angry with Zouey when he finds out the truth. I think he will try to comfort and understand him (not like you aggressive people)
All I can say is that underwear brand must be delicious...Anyway, what I'd like to see in S2--besides more underwear…
But I think the product placement in this series is effective. I think we'll remember that underwear and Cathy Doll for the rest of our lives. And it's a marketing big achievement.
You should be so proud! overcoming all that and you are doing a good deed here ^^
I feel like a lunatic. I will be everywhere. I will become the most annoying person on the Internet. I will collect 2,000 signatures, even if I have to sign a pact with the devil.
