Me too!! I dropped Korean version because I don't like the way they added and prolonged every scene. The actors aren't really suitable for the character too imho.
Of all HYD franchise, Korean version is the worst imho. Thank God after that Japanese version saved the franchise at that time TT TT

It was late for me to join Thai lakorn bandwagon but thanks to this drama I'm now in it. I have watched all Hana Yori Dango versions as I grew up watching TW/KOR version in my home and imho by far F4 Thai is the best version. I won't mention Japanese HYD version because Japanese version was unique and lived in their own hahaha.
I love the dynamics and the script of this series too!! How they carefully adjusted old story and the characters in the late 90's semi analog era to become relatable to our current digital era. Also from this series I now learn there are good talented Thai actors like Bai, Win and Dew!! Oh don't get me started talking and fangirling over three of them in this series, LOL!
I used to be in the WOH/Shanren fandom and become ZZH fan eventually. But many people are now becoming toxics, CP stan and solo stan, thus I left the fandom.
I support Zhang Zhehan as a person, as a human being. I'll wait for him to return but I don't support nor join any fandom relating to WOH/ZZH anymore. Twitter is becoming a toxic place where many fans feel entitled of their opinions and forgot one, Zhang Zhehan is human too. He can be anything and he can do anything he likes and he doesn't owe people explanation as he's now out of the limelight. He becomes someone like you and me. He's also not there to deliver candy nor becoming someone's wife like what people portraying him to be after August last year. Acting in BL content isn't the issue here, it's the toxicity and the constant fetishizing from the fandom that surrounds a BL actor that is the issue. This man, he's basically facing his own battle thanks to "malicious industry competition" erasing him and slandering him making him hard to even get out of his house and people still fetishizing him cooking for dear husband and being somebody's housewife. Don't they realize, it's exactly the reason why Chinese govt banned any BL adaptation in the future because the fandom is uncontrollable and slandering BL actor is becoming a routine, showing the world how unhealthy the industry is.
Again, I support him as a person, waiting patiently for him to clear his name. I know it's long process and it might require many sacrifices from his side. I can't imagine how much he should make the sacrifice just to clear his name: he's not a traitor. Ever imagine how his case severely effecting his life and life of people around him too?
I'll be patiently waiting for him, support anything that he does and he might be doing without any prejudice or labelling him with expectations. I'm here for Zhehan, for a man, a person who seek justice just like other world citizen out there, just like you and me.

Same!! The inner child in me was excited to watch Hanadan as TW/KOR Hanadan is the drama I grew up with. But same like you, I was scared too bcs as an adult, original hanadan relationship is so toxic and I grow less and less respect to ML/FL. But after watching Meteor Garden 2018 when they "rewrite" ML character to be less toxic, I got the confidence to watch Hanadan Thai version because I believe the production team will do something with the script and they are! In fact, ML/FL relationship is "rewritten" to be less toxic and I support that. The lines and the script also I like! I adore the creative direction taken by director and ML actor to make ML to be less toxic and the F4/Gorya story is about coming of age in the gen Z era. This story was originally made for Gen X and millennials like me, but F4 thai transformed it into fresh story and fresh creative direction suitable for Gen Z. It made one generation below me appreciating the story as well :).
As someone who has watched all Hanadan versions, I must say Thai version is the best so far. I love it! The script also *chef kiss*. I support this version :D
