This is too good!! Omg! I finished 12 last episodes in one go and I repeated the last 10 twice (as if I don't wanna to end this)!! The dialogue, the acting, the story, all is too good!
Xianxia isn't my genre to begin with. I even dropped the famous AOL, LAR and TMOPB. But for ALP , my curiosity began when I watched review from AvenueX saying it's so boring and the plot is overused after only watching several episodes also hate comments in Douban saying the casting is a big no no, the acting is not good and the story is average. Looking at tons of hates and bad reviews, I've decided to watch to see if the comments are true.
I've been watching it slowly, 1 episode, 2 episode then I found myself watching 17 episodes and like it....then later on I found myself finishing all episodes. The story is the one keeping me on my seat and of course the acting of both leads, they are so convincing. I like them all!!
I'm glad I'm giving myself a chance to watch this beautiful love story between Baijue and Shangu until the end. I even don't have any major complaint. I like the story, no rush here. I like the plot, no questioned plot here or ridiculous plot filler also I like the acting! Everyone has put their effort in here. The only thing I noticed sometimes off is editing. When camera doing close up shot, the smooth skin filter edit isn't applied, especially in the few last episodes (LOL). But hey! It's not a major problem here, I love the story nevertheless.

Surprisingly I like this drama more than Gank Your Heart, lol. I tried not to do drama chasing but here I'm at episode 28 waiting for 3 more final episodes today. I'll watch it tonight for sure XD.
PS: Xu Kai, omg.... I never paid attention to him before but after this drama I'll watch his previous works for sure <3
Excuse me, I like this drama. I'm on epi 16 now and I love he story, the OST sung by Liu Yuning (it brought me to tears every time I listened to it), Xu Kai acting is <3. I understand why people in DB didn't put high score and keep ranting about FL being too casual and not graceful like a GOD, but I like her here! Watching this brought me memories of many K-dramas combined hahah, I guess I'll stick watching it until the end.
His GF asked him to watch SHL with her and this is what he said:
"I admit that the two male protagonists are very handsome, but I am a straight (steel) man, and I really can't stand Lao Wen's affectionate eyes. (T/N: He's melting to the puddle of goo, HAHAHAHA)
I've watched to the point that my GF didn't need to do to fast forward or double-speed playback.(T/N:because he watched all, LOL)
