Not really. I had to fast forward through the last 10 or so episodes in order to finish. This is the first time I've ever had to do that. I almost dropped it, but decided to suck it up and finish it. I wouldn't recommend it.
Just painful writing and executing story... Im on ep 21 and still following story for Hua Wuche and Ms Tie couple.…
subpar and too ridiculous for me. fight scenes and special effects aren't very good either. It's a slog that I'm trying to get through. It's a challenge. I was hoping it would improve after 25 or so episodes, but I'm at 37 and it's hard to continue.
I would suggest people take a hard pass on this one.
I would like to watch this, but I've heard that the second season is not as good as the first. So I would like…
I enjoyed season 1, but I couldn't make it past 2 or 3 episodes of season 2. The cast changes were too shocking to me, and even the personalities of some characters were different - the emperor, for example. He all of a sudden became buddy, buddy... brother... ridiculous.
I don't think I'll make any future attempts to watch season 2. However, I would recommend season 1.
Overall, I really enjoyed this drama. It's definitely a 9.5/10 for me. The ending is about what I expected due to the style and nature of the drama, but I would've preferred a different ending. The all out invasion by enemies after the redress of the wrongs were corrected by the retrial felt a bit rushed and anti-climactic to me. I would've preferred dropping that entire last episode to have the ML head out with his love to travel around for the remaining few years of his life - say 3-5 years or so. I would have preferred that type of a bittersweet ending.
Also, am I the only one who didn't care for the Fei liu character? He's an overpowered teenager with little to no explanatory back story who is very annoying and a poor actor.
I like the plot, and Li Yi Feng. The setting and actors are all very pleasing to the eye, but am doing some serious…
Yeah, the pace really drags at times, but I hate to fast forward. However, I've almost broken my personal rule against it and done it several times. I hate it when the post production team edits the material to drag it out to increase the number of episodes. It makes otherwise enjoyable series feel like a bit of a grind that wastes your time. Not good.
19 episodes in, and I'm hanging in there. The story is interesting, but I don't care for the pacing at times, especially the long, drawn out emotional moments between ML and FL. I think the pacing would be much more to my liking if the first 19 episodes had been presented in 15 or less.
Uncle. I made it through 30 episodes, and do I feel stupid. What a waste of time. As much as I can't stand A Zi, I need to thank her. She completely turned me off the series, so I owe her for saving me those extra hours of my life. Thankfully, I looked past the title on Princess Agents, and it has a promising start. Best of luck to those who stick it out to the finish. This is the first chinese drama I've ever not finished, and I've finished at least 10, if not more. :-(
28 episodes in, and it's a bit of a slog. Very slow pace with too many drawn out scenes for my taste. The fight scenes are lackluster for the most part, and the relationships are superficial. See a guy across the way, drink some wine together, become sworn brothers. SMH Emperor 's group kills a bunch of Jerchens, capture him, let him go, become sworn brothers. LOL
Oh yeah, who can forget the most annoying character that I can remember in ages - A Zi. I wish they'd kill her off. She may be a great actress, but the part is so off-putting that I almost stopped watching the series. Having said that, I'll stick with it and finish it unless I come across something more interesting in the mean time, and I'm looking.
I'd recommend avoiding this series tbh. It's not really worth the time imo.
