I just finished part 2 and the entire drama was really good. I really really love them, but am i the only one…
Agreed. I wanted more groveling too from ML. I also disliked that the FL was just 15 yrs. old. Who has clarity about life at that age? We fall in and out of love almost all through our teenage years :) Understand that this was marriageable age at that time but still.... I really cannot fathom falling so deeply in love with someone at that age. Ditto for the ML - pray how is he able to remain celibate all these years .... even before FL came to his life. Anyway....i tell myself ...it is just a drama. and therefore, anything is possible.

I am afraid I disagree. She was completely new to palace politics and therefore ignorant, Her interference in Crown Prince's matters was way out of her league. If she wanted to help, she could have just asked Zisheng to look into it instead of trying to resolve it herself. Also, her taking revenge on 3rd princess on Uncle Huo's death anniversary was improper. She could have very well waited to avenge after the prayers. What I am saying here is that please go right ahead and avenge on whoever has bullied you but there should be a time and place for it. Overall, except for few faults (which probably can be attributed to her age), I liked Shao Shang's character in the drama....
Ok unpopular opinion here and let me reiterate I SAID WHAT I SAID...👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿This female lead was…
It was Zisheng who chose to abandon Shao Shang. He very well knew how her life had been and her thoughts on how her parents left her without a backward glance. She grew up with an inferiority complex of no one loving her. His leaving her when she told him not to (at the end) was too much for her to bear. In real life, if you trust someone and they end up backstabbing you - would you still continue to trust that person? Zisheng never revealed his real identity - why did not he? Because he did not trust or respect her enough.
Agreed that his childhood trauma was too much to let go off easily especially when his Aunt constantly kept instigating him for revenge. But I believe if he expected Shao Shang to trust him 100% then he too should have extended that trust to her. Relationships can never flourish with one side making all the adjustments.
Having said the above, what I disliked about Shao Shang's character was that once she entered the palace, she constantly poked her nose in areas which was none of her business. The narrative of the drama was that she helped those she cared for. But I did not like her interference and thought that she should have stayed out of it unless someone really sought her help. Oh well....it is just a drama....so will not wreck my head on this any further :)
To the bomber:The world isn't rainbows and marshmallows. People make hateful comments online. Boohoo get over…
Agreed.....not getting justice for her daughter does not mean you kill the innocent. Mom should have been admitted to a mental institution - she appeared completely deranged.
