On Baidu Wiki it says it's coming in 2027, so maybe just giving it more time to blow over? I would be beyond angry if they just didn't air it at all because of this.

More entertaining than the first season, but adding a supernatural element to this universe was... a choice.

So it's a combination of 3 later books into one season with another new cast... not interested.

The first 3 instalments are being brought over to Bluray for English audiences in May!

I think the next one will be called Raiders of Wu Gorge, but never received confirmation on that. I believe it's the final one that would star this cast, but I don't know if they're contracted for more.

My preferred watch order:
Candle in the Tomb
Candle in the Tomb 2: The Weasel Grave (prequel, 1960s)
Candle in the Tomb 3: Wrath of Time (decades prior prequel)
Candle in the Tomb 4: The Lost Caverns (direct sequel to first)
Candle in the Tomb 5: The Worm Valley
Candle in the Tomb 6: Kunlun Shrine
Candle in the Tomb 7: South Sea Wasteland

Ghost Blows out the Light: Finding Hu ba Yi (forequel- focuses on the MC's descendent)
Ghost Blows out the Light: Discovery of Golden City (direct sequel to GBotL, supposedly. No info for years on this.)
There is also an animated series in the works, but no other info as of yet.

I think there's supposed to be one more after this before the time jump to "Finding Hu Ba Yi", but I'm not sure. Apparently Wu Gorge and Kunlun Shrine were the same one, whereas before I thought they were separate stories. Maybe we'll have to wait til the end of season preview later this Summer, but just wondering if anyone followed the books and could divulge more.

Same. I had been hesitant to start on season 2 thinking it might be years before I can find season 3 anywhere, so this was pleasantly unexpected. Big props to Netflix for this pickup.

They added seasons 1 and 3 in most regions as well a couple days ago, I highly recommend season 1.

This is now available on Netflix! Season 1 as well! I am so happy right now!

Sounds almost like a pseudo remake of The Weasel Grave.
