I just started the show and the dub is IRKING ME. They did such a bad job dubbing this one, like the FL's voice is way too intentionally baby and the grandmother's dub parts don't line up with her mouth movements sometimes 😭 Idk if Ren Min dubbed herself but her normal voice honestly would've sounded a lot better than this intentional 13yo sounding voice.

NGL this is one of the few webnovels I've read where I felt like I was forcing myself to finish because it felt like it was starting to drag. Idk if it was the story or just a translation issue. The humor in the book is good though lol.

Tian xi wei got dubbed too??! I thought it sounds similar to her actual voice, but I'm not that good at differentiating since I watch a lot of drama sped up 🙊

I haven't seen the original but how I understood it was that Fu Gui's mom married into Wangquan manor so Fu Gui was born with the Wangquan surname while Yuechu's mom carried on the Dongfang bloodline The drama didn't mention much about Yuechu's dad which always made me curious about him. And take Dongfang Luo for example - he is also a Dongfang but had no spiritual power or divine flames. It's probably an aptitude related issue 🤷‍♀️

Ha ha, good question. romance is severely lacking in this. probably only 2 sweet moments in the whole show that happen near the end. from my view, the show is mostly politics and ML harassing FL
