Lately a lot of dramas introduce a competition in the plot. this one made me laugh :)i looked it up, there's no…
I thought the same thing π but I think it mentioned some provincial technical school so we can at least assume its a small school competition or smth lolol
Honestly I was hoping too! Maybe the writer did have that as the alternate ending but decided to make it tragic.π₯²
Now that you say that I feel like it would have been more artistic for them to provide us with 2 alternate endings! Esp. since the foundation is already there
How does the romance work? She's already married with a child.
Ha ha, good question. romance is severely lacking in this. probably only 2 sweet moments in the whole show that happen near the end. from my view, the show is mostly politics and ML harassing FL
I'm usually not very critical but this mini drama was so very boring to me... characters are very 2D and storyline is so draggy, felt like 5 episodes passed by of irrelevant conversation.
people having read the manhwa first then coming to watch and then being disappointed. no i mean what do you expect…
It's still disappointing though :( If I think about it the only webtoon to kdrama adaptation that wasn't disappointing to ME (personal opinion) was What's wrong with secretary Kim. I thought both webtoon and drama were equally great with no complaints. In comparison, A business proposal drama was super funny but lacking bc they rushed the ending and now I see such bad reviews for wedding impossible which I was looking forward to watching. Tbh I think cdrama does better job readapting stories into equally good dramas even if the plot changes a lot (in their case it's more novel adaptation). That's why I feel like kdrama could do better, like even if you have to change the script from the webtoon come up with something better π For example cdrama The Long Ballad was completely different from the manhua (which is a masterpiece btw) but it was still so good! This one became so makjang near the end I was like what is going on anymore LOL.
i feel like that's always the issue with face swap dramas. this other recent chinese webdrama (Broken the Heart)…
Yea definitely. that one is a little different because both girls are equally important to storyline even as the story continues to play out. A lot of similar drama only emphasize the face swapping/face change at the beginning and the other face becomes irrelevant and forgotten. Maybe thats why like OP said Jun Jiu Ling is one of the easier ones to adapt to haha.
Yang Cai Wei's part takes up too much time, filling the entire first episode and half of the second. Since she's…
i feel like that's always the issue with face swap dramas. this other recent chinese webdrama (Broken the Heart) did the same thing where they introduced the 'other' actresses first before the FL and even though it was only for the first 5-10 minutes it made it hard for me to adjust lol. I ended up putting tht show aside to watch for later.. but it's mostly bc of my own preference not bc the show is bad or anything.
I'm honestly starting to find it hilarious everytime the uncle tries to pin blames on others and the king just nods his head along knowing this man is a certified yapper. Like shut your mouth fr LOL
i hope they retain the elements from the webtoon where the ML goes the extra mile to help the FL grow her confidence, I thought that part was really sweet. its been a few years since i read it but thts also one of the only parts that I remember from the webtoon so i feel like it was really rlly integral to the story and their relationship!!
I don't get why some people complained about how they styled Zhou Ye for Gu Sheng's character?? I'm actually liking most of her outfits because they're pretty cute and even incorporate traditional Chinese elements, which matches her character being in the ancient style music circle.
What is the age gap btwn the leads supposed to be? And for the second couple?
Haven't read the novel yet which probably mentions their ages but based on their occupations the guys are probably at least 29 and the girls should be 22 since they're seniors in college.
edit: just watched ep 13 and they say their ages, I guessed right hehe
