Ah yeah he says don't be narcissistic but I think it was implied that she was right that he fell for her at first sight. I'll have to rewatch again to confirm but that's the impression I got from the flashback at the end.
He never actually remembers her but she feels familiar the whole time. He, and everyone other than the 4 people who were brought in from the real world, was just an NPC in the game so they can't have memories of her but do have impressions that the first arc happened. Because of the impressions, he treated her differently but, as far as I remember, it was clear that none of the game characters have real memories.
