I am very close to losing my shit, why is Saturday still two days away? Haven't I waited enough? Let me have the last two episodes already! I may drop dead tonight because who has seen the future? And my greatest regret will be not being able to finish this drama! Okay, that is a lie. My greatest regret would be breaking up with the girl I love and my inability to grow old with her. But not finishing this drama would definitely be my second greatest regret. Anyway, I'm just here because I'm lonely. I can't wait to watch the final two episodes.
For me this series was pretty mediocre. I am surprised by all the 9 an 10s in the reviews, a 9 or 10 is for me…
I agree that it's mediocre and I myself gave this a 6 because even though the concept was interesting, it was poorly portrayed. The writing and general direction was a letdown, although the actors did a good job and the technical aspects of the show were better than average. I think the idol girl's story was necessary but if they were going to do it, they should've done it separate from Ryeon and Jung-il's arc. So overall, it was a mess but it had its moments.
Lee Soo Hyuk and his lack of screen time in all of his dramas is something so heartbreaking because he often makes his characters the most charming ones in the dramas and the audience wants more of him but never quite gets enough.
So, in the first 4 episodes, the drama has been racist, the ML has committed workplace harassment and almost sexually harassed the FL (yes, exposing your genitals without consent is sexual harassment) and I've yet to understand the point of well, anything. Kang Yoo Sung is the only likable character and that too barely. I dislike this drama a lot. Ithink I've been generous to watch this drama till the 4th episode. I'm extremely disappointed in the writer, the director and the cast. I'm disappointed in the MDL users giving this drama an 8.4 rating which is much much more than it really deserves. I'm dropping it.
Episode 6 had me swooning, it made me giggle, it made me feel understood and I felt peace while watching it. This drama is beautiful and I want more of it. I want more for it.
Episode 5 is so far the best one. I really liked it. It's a well-written character driven drama and I'm disappointed with the 7.9 rating. It deserves 8.5 or higher. Hope it increases with the upcoming episodes.
