I lost many brain cells while watching this one. The writer was definitely high when he came up with the plot. And my god, the characters were all so fucking dumb. I'm disappointed and sad because the production design was pretty neat *sighs deeply*
The cinematography is spectacular. Very aesthetic to watch. I'm very excited about this drama and I'm hoping it is able to stay consistent till the end. The first three episodes have been brilliant.
When a drama with great potential is unable to live up to it, it saddens me deeply and this drama is just that. The writing is what has ruined it and the disrespect to the source material is very disappointing.
"He was my everything," said Mi Joo and I wanted to throw hands with the dumb bitch. She has no personality and her character is shallow amd uninteresting. She barely knows Soo Hyun but loves him as if they'd been together for years and recently broke up and now living without him is impossible. Where's the development?? I'm honestly very disappointed by the way the writer wrote the characters, not just Mi Joo. Besides Soo Hyun and Jun, at times, the other characters fail to shine. One character that is written poorly but portrayed well by its actress is Young Ran. Her characterisation is not bad, it's severely underdeveloped like the rest but I'm sure she's not just mine but many others' favourite as well. Kudos to the actress.
Did you watch the whole drama? Because everything was clarified throughout Mouse. If you didn't you missed the…
You say that and yet at the end the public and the politicians opt to abort fetus' with the psychopathic gene. The series also did a bad job at narrating the story, most mysteries that bewildered and confused tge viewers early on were only solved in the last two episodes which made many lose interest. I could go on all day talking about how the show was unable to fulfill the immense potential it had by pretending to outsmart its viewers consequently creating a confusing plot that was rather loosely tied up in the end.
Gye Sun Woo is annoying as hell. I wonder where he gets all that confidence and superior complex from. Disliking the character a lot. I felt bad for him a couple of times before but man, he's manipulative and he's been emotionally blackmailing Lee Dam. I mean, she already rejected you like three times. Have some dignity, some self-respect and some humanity. If he truly liked Lee Dam, he wouldn't be pestering her so much and hurting her. He should learn from Han Ji-pyeong and Han Seo Jun on how to be good second male leads and friends to the female leads. Annoying jerk.
To those confused about why Dam broke up with Woo Yeo in the last episode need to know that she wasn't aware of the fact that he doesn't have a lot of time left and what will happen once the time runs out. Add to that her guilt because she thinks she wasn't enough and he had to find energy for the marble from someone else consequently putting that person in danger. She thought their relationship was ill-fated and that is why she decided to break up with him even though she likes him a lot, she couldn't bear being responsible for another person's pain. She'd rather be in agony herself, away from the one she loves than be the reason for someone else's pain. And thus, it makes her wanting to break up completely valid and reasonable.
When you have a small cast, it is important to utilize their availability and potential but this drama has so far failed to do that. I'd rather the drama had 16 episodes if it meant the characters were examined thoroughly because so far, Soo Hyun is the only stand out for me with Yeo Jun and Young Ran not that badly portrayed.
Besides Soo Hyun and maybe Yeo Jun, the writer has failed at presenting characters with proper dilemmas that are extensively explored. Young Ran's story has potential and needs more screen time. So Bin's arc has been unimpressive and her status as a main character false, she's no different than any other supporting character. Mi Ju and Chan Ki's characters disappoint me the most, there's nothing to them.
Shipping Young Ran and Soo Hyun so hard. Their relationship is too precious and if Mi Ju, who essentially has no proper characterisation so far, ends up with Soo Hyun, I will be very disappointed.
Soo Hyun x Young Ran is the only ship I like in this drama. I don't care for the romance in this drama, I wish there was more emphasis on platonic relationships between the characters
