Oh, I love how diverse and distinct your music taste is. I'm not familiar with the bands you mentioned; I think it's partly because I used to be so in love with my first language that I wouldn't see another past it. Maybe I still am now cause it still dominates my playlist. I absolutely love the early 2000s era too but together with 2010's. Yep, I think I can also agree with this that nothing quite beats the vocals which complement the lyrics. Which song do you love the most from your country?
No, not at all. Frankly, I may not have actually listened to all genres but I know for sure that I'm comfortable with most considering its more about the lyrics for me than the genre of a song. I can compromise with both the instrumental and vocals but if lyrics don't hold substance and are there just for filler then its not IT for me. How about you?
I totally get it although for me it looks like its gonna be a constant. I love my stories rich with lore and more often than not only the ones which don't have an ideal ending or a romantic interest offer it the best for me.
True that! Its exactly what got me into Jdramas cause I'm a sucker for raw emotions. Even though I'm quite the opposite, the sadder and hopeless it is the more intriguing it will be to me. Its totally understandable. Fictional HEA's are like energy boosters for tackling real life.
Exactly! I thought it would get better somehow in later episodes but it never did. The gif is actually from a drama named "Toyo Tower" (2024). Just a heads-up, it doesn't contain a hea.
Actually they did try but whenever they did something ended up being not right ringing alarm bells for the FL to RUN from the relationship. That's what makes me more confused of her choice at the end. I also liked Kingone Wang as an actor but his character here is beige flag (leaning towards more red flag for me).
Sorry. I just finished it and its actually Kingone Wang. It was only revealed in the last episode that Derek Chang being ML was a prank all along. He was actually SML with more screentime than the ML.
I don't remember the exact time I watched it. But I do remember it being annoying as hell, tiresome to finish through (mainly cause of episode length) but yeah at the end of the day I did like it a little, more so cause of ML.
I loved it except the melodrama. I would describe it as a dark chocolate. Bittersweet with bad aftertaste. Shame cause straight couples give me an ick unless its noona romance but here leads chemistry was chemistrying so well for me that I could'nt tear away my eyes.
6/10 because I wanted to love it and did but the whole star-crossed lovers put me off.
