She had been a primary mother figure in her sister's life. Watching her destroy her sister's faith in family over a man, of all things was weird. She was portrayed as a successful career woman before her marriage so shouldn't that have given her leverage in choosing a partner she wanted rather than just having to have one? Their relationships felt boring because they were based on convenience and traditional gender roles. Time spent together highlighted their shared freedom from those norms. Their partners seemed unlikely to force them to stay despite their traditional views. So, if they can opt for a separation after an affair then why not before? I wish I had seen the content rating beforehand. It had the illusion of tackling a heavy theme in a decent wholesome way. Their undeniable chemistry wasn't enough to support a nearly two-hour movie on its own atleast for me. It had plot holes left and right.
Can't imagine myself having years long crush on someone. Mu Tao was the only one sane here. I loved how she dealt with the rejection rather than being hung up on it and still pining for him for years. I think I was also impressed by how it's name symbolises it's plot well. The actress looked like a teen even after all those time leaps so ngl it was uncomfortable to watch them for a while once they got together. My far-fetched theory is that Alzheimer bomb was mainly dropped so they could minimize their affectionate moments looking weird on-screen due to their miscast. Damn, Lou Rui needed to take up two more jobs so he could stop clowning himself. Last 10 eps were not that bad. Like Hime said, you have to be in a certain mood to watch it. It was only during last 4 eps where Lou Rui pulled that shit. His actions didn't make sense cause we were led to believe for a no of eps that he had long since come to peace with the fact that it's never gonna happen between him and lianxin. I guess it was more to fill the episode count with random bs so I couldn't care less about it. Tang Shi x Chen Ji story was severely undercooked and yet I still found them way more enjoyable as a pair which surprised me.
It feels like his career got deliberately stopped. Two dramas and both of them highly-rated. His looks resemble Xu Kai or should I say even better? He could've gotten way more big if luck was on his side.
Godd I was waiting for its release so bad. Spoilers suggest it turned out to be a bummer. So tired of dramas masquerading as progressive while upholding old-fashioned beliefs. Glad I saved my time but still wish it could've had an actual progressive approach.
It was a classic trap. A happy cover which lured me in and then hit me with the "real" plot. I don't like teen romance anyway but I got invested in them halfway through the movie. I'm not saying that there wasn't any foreshadowing but really? That was too much especially since it overall gives a vibe of a happy movie. Idk what to say to whoever wrote the synopsis. They're clearly an evil person😭. The synopsis should include about what's to expect. It didn't tear me up but instead ruined the feel good mood since I've seen this trick rolling in movies a couple of times.
These days I'm into Philippine entertainment. C-dramas were my thing for a significant amount of time but not anymore. Do you mean hk from hwood? Never got to watch a hk drama but I would love to. Do you have any good recs?
I watched it when it was on-air. It cured my depression until the finale made me relapse😂. No other drama has made me feel so invested only to let me down so hard.
