Same here! Thank you for putting into words my experience and offering solutions! Ii was very eager to begin with then 6 months in a drama slump hit together with the neverending pandemic problems and I just dropped the challenge.... I am not doing it this year: it seems too fancy and complicated! I liked the basic edition from last year.
Not cute, interesting, lovely relationship, bratty brother :was he a rude jerk on purpose?!? I did not quite get it since the ending was rushed and unclear! Another gem from Strongberrry.....
Great review: I agree with your unpopular opinion completely! The series peaked at ep. 5 and than took a nosedive down to the bottomless pit from which it never managed to resurface. And ep. 9&10 were just long commercial breaks interrupted by short rugby match scenes... Meh!!!! I never read 10 rated reviews because they are fan reviews not realistic ones! I like to read about what was off in a drama which helps me decide! There are no perfect dramas!

No need for the third season then! And this 2nd season would have been spared stilted storytelling, bad editing (just awful: I had to rewatch certain parts in order to understand when, where, why is something happening, reality or dream....)...
Aren't they doing too many? Out of first 100 dramas on the list, only maybe 5 have started airing and the rest are only projects?!? How many will actually be made? BLs used to be rare. Nowdays we are swamped... BTW. you are so well informed! Kudos!
Why do I feel like something is missing? I finished it, I liked it, I'd seen better, I'd seen so many worse...This is a romcom done well but still, I find it unfinished! Weird, right?
Finally! Thank you for writing this! i absolutely hated this drama from the ep. 7 on! I wanted to drop it but friends kept telling me that it was just going to get better, that the twists were brilliant etc. I figured out the main twists ep. 8 and it was just so complicated, out of this world (unnecessary scifi touch...) and just plain unconvincing.... You are brave to voice your opinion after dropping it. I admit to being a coward and dared not say anything negative about this drama faced with the onslaught of rave reviews!
Not a fan of historical dramas (manhuas on the other hand...) but drama hair is my pet peeve! Especially the bangs and the forehead in MLs: kids bangs down, adults bangs up! Your article is very interesting and is making me even more interested in whys and whereofs the long hair and buns in historicals! Should do some research!
He is just perfect, an amazing actor, cute as a button, squeeky clean image...but I was disappointed with every one of his dramas I saw especially Tomorrow With You (messy story and zero chemistry!) and Signal (overrated!). But I loved you detailed article: you really are a fan! Well done!
I like your list and especially the fact that you explained what you like about these dramas. Since you love Cherry Magic for its sugar content (me too!) can I suggest another equally diabetes inducing sweet drama: Boys' Lockdown. A Philipino drama you can find on youtube! I loved it as much as the japanese drama! Both a so fluffy but with zero cringe so I hope you enjoy it if you decide to watch it! PS. Loved it. A perfect slice of life drama with likable charecters and interesting stories. A bit superficial though for the main cast: we find very little about them. It is just such a nice, uplifting watch. Lilac's review says it all!
Damm it they really took a 180 from the original plot but it looks so interesting and of course it is OffGun so…
180 is the opposite, 360 is back to the original start. Which is it?

Amazing list! And though the links to watch dramas are useful they are easily found. I would have prefered reading a short reason why you rated these series like you did! I agree with most of your ratings but it is not enough for a custom("MY...") made list!
Thank you for this review. Something in the Rain is my favourite drama(I must have seen it about ten times though skipping the harassement subplot!) and I never understood the bad ratings and the bad comments: the leads have great chemistry, it is a blow by blow d portrayal of two people falling in love. it dealt with many problems within the family(the mother from hell!) and the acceptance of the society, dysfunctions at the workplace : everything surrounding a beautiful love story! The only disagreement I have with you is the music: hearing the same three songs(I really liked especially Rachael Tamaguchi's two! though I could have done without Bruce Willis' and Carla Bruni's singing!LOL!) over and over again : the whole music editing part was really badly done(lyrics in english mostly had nothing to do with the plot) and did not fit well where put!). I am curious to know what you think of One Spring Night: same director, mostly the same cast as SITR. Personally I hated it but it is universally prefered to SITR...
