I'm watching Like In The Movies now and I saw your review of it with which I agree 1000%. So i saw someone in the comments not agreeing with your review of ITSAY and Bilikin's acting so it piqued my curiosity since I had the same feelings about BK: the guy can't act to save his life!!! I am surprised though by your very generous note of this series! Apart from being pretty sometimes, PP's good acting skills and... I can't think of nothing else! Ah yes, a couple of earwormy songs! I was just as frustrated and annoyed like you while watching it and i kept telling myself that they are just teens discovering new feelings and sensations but that amount of stupidity is not allowed! And what's with all the crying and smelling each other?!?!? Anyway thank you for all your great reviews especially since I agree with almost all of them! ;-)

I am currently watching this and you managed to put into words everything I've been feeling about this drama: a great idea,. terrible execution. Scenes tajing place inbthe pasr are perfect in every way: a drama at its best. On the other hand the scenes in present are your usual bl school dross: Dean and Pharm have zero chemistry and their scenes are mostly cringeworthy. Side characters are useless. Music unremarkable. Nevertheless this drama, as you said, is better than most: better acting, writing and cinematography and therin lies my huge disappointment. What a wasted opportunity! They could have made something outstanding but they failed! One thing that was even worse: product placement! It should have been more subtle( cars, crisps, make up...give me a break!!!!!)

I am dropping this after 5 episodes. It is actually a really good story and the main characters are very likable and have great chemistry but the cinematography is just terrible. It is giving me a huge headache. I have the impression of watching a footage someone took while hiding so people would non notice they were being filmed. It could be ok to film like that if it were a movie but 16h of this is unbearable!!!!

Dropped it after 10min...so much bad acting is unbearable!

Interesting, quirky characters and an original story but the camera angles(fish eye, cctv...) the director used to fim are making this drama very uncomfortable to watch.

The best part of this drama are the opening titles: the music and the cinematography are really top notch. They must have used the most of their budget to fim that sequence because the rest feels really cheap, aesthetically speaking! The story is rather original with leads hiding their relationship because worried of the society's reaction. Usually in these dramas it is universal acceptance, pretty birds and flowers... Wish it were true!

Continuity error, if I am not mistaken: in Kiss Me Again wasn't it Kao who was the experienced photographer taking photos of Sun's coffees with Sun having a crush on him and Pete glaring angrily at them while drinking coffee? Here it is Pete whose hobby is photography and Kao doesn't know how to use a camera?

This is a drama that hasn't aged well... and the horrible title does nothing to help it!

If you only want to watch PeteKao there is a better cut by Lazy Subber on dailymotion/facebook. The gmmtv's version is cut too much so the story is incomprehensible.

I agree with you 1000%!!! I went into this because a friend on the feeds said it was the best one out of the dramas I was considering watching (a bit of a drama slump/overdose moment!). So I started watching this dragging my feet, having been so disappointed by two thai dramas before (ITSAY, TWM). And just like you, I was blown away by Mix's acting! Wishing him a long , varied and successful career He was just perfect! Earth I found a bit wooden... And the kids not growing! And a few usual drama tropes: you're cold I'll give you my coat, you scratched your hand let's take out the major first aid kit, time jump... Just nitpicking!! Two episodes in, I was so caught in the story I forgot it was a BL: it was just an excellent drama! So kudos to writer and director for giving us something extraordinary to watch! This drama is going to be a tough act to follow! (I watched TharnType afterwards...No comment!) I love your reviews: they are concise, precise and just! Keep them coming!

I have seen dramas (the one that springs to my mind immediately is 1000 Stars) way better than this one. So I really don't understand why I liked it. You pointed out everything that was wrong with it which was so obvious from the get go and I would have normally dropped it because of it:bad filming, bad storytelling, plotholes as wide as the grand canyon( I actually rewatched the episode 4 trying to find the scene I must have missed where they turn fom one night stand to friends with benefits-wasn't there! And there are loads of examples like this one..), bad casting and so much bad acting...and still I binge watched it over two days! Maybe it was just the fact of this drama being so awfully bad that it's good?!?!?

I would love to see this movie but every streaming site seems to have the same copy of it: movie split in two, bad quality, wrong format and subs out of sync. Has anyone found a good copy or at least ok subs? Please help! Thank you!

So far so good but why is there always a big corporation/politicians conspiracy/corrupiton plot in these dramas? I can guess that the main characters are going to suffer for 15 episodes and the bad guys are going to get their comeuppance during the episode 16. Anything new here maybe straying from the usual plotline?

But apart from that why should I continue watching this? The idea is good but. .. The ML turned from an ugly, intelligent pushover(only around her!) into a pretty brainless pushover. While the FL turned from a beautiful bully into a ordinary looking bully. Do they get likable? Does he grow his backbone and get his brain back eventually?

Mix was really the best part of the drama,he was the one who made me continue watching in spite of all the corny and too cute bits (a tiny scratch on a hand: let's take the first aid kit out!). Anyway, wishing Mix a long and successful career. He more than deserves it!

I loved the 1st episode cameo by the lead pair from The Smile Has Left Your Eyes....so that's what happened to them!!!

Kdrama has done the heart transplant storyline a few times: Falling for innocence and Summer Scent for example though after watching these two I tend to avoid heart translpant stories....


I never read the book 1000 stars was based upon but I loved the way they managed to show Tian's change in the drama....

A great actor. He really stands out in the thai drama world where all the actors are so bad. Keep it up!

On the downside, the heart transplant+meet the original heart's owner's boyfriend storyline has been done so many times. This series is wrought with all the usual clichés and drama tropes. The new addition is the innocent villagers but of course exploited by evil merchant/gangster. The character of Tian is the only one who stands out because we see his growth from a spoilt brat to a nice human being.

This is better than I expected:it is not another mediocre bl with rave reviews. Colour me surprised when I realized that the main actors can actually act!!!!!!!!!!!!
