For me, originally she is a singer, she has never taken an acting class/shcool but her acting has come so far and is decent, I think that is something that really deserves appreciation and you said you only liked her acting in two dramas less? lol

and I never said about her agency is being good too from the beginning, I said her agency (also most agencies in C-ent) is not good handling their artists but she can't control many things because she is still tied to her agency, Siba has the power to determine which projects JJY takes on, I'm glad the recent projects weren't their production so I'm also sure JJY is starting to have a little bargaining power with Siba.

The dramas you said were bad but some people also liked it, so you are forcing your own version of good standards to put into her shoes, you never think from her position (once again I say, I understand she still has some shortcomings). Almost all agencies in C-ent are not good at handling their artists and tend to ignore bad things against their artists, they just want to milking them and consider them as money machine. Although some agents/agencies have a strong connection/backup for their artists but also there are even agencies that like to use black marketing on their artists to control them but what can they do, these agencies are the ones who have a connection to capital, network and projects. The taller the tree, the stronger the wind, just as the more popular you are, the more people will pay attention to you so our job is to stop those false and negative rumors, but you are acting different.

She was often attacked by negative and evil rumors these recent years, and eventually chose to just silent, wiser and become mature. The good comedy you said was the early years when she was not attacked by bad things too often that's why she participated in pretty many shows/varieties during those years (also you said the good years), talkactive, cute and funny

Are you really a JJY fan? I think this mentality and mindset is not a fan's mentality and mindset at all, all I saw is that you always complain about her, I also understand that JJY still has some shortcomings but I don't think her dramas were that bad before 2024 and tbh her acting was actually pretty good, there were indeed bad ones in my opinion like The Blooms at Ruyi Pavillon (I hate them designing the female lead character was always prejudiced and misunderstands toward to the male lead character) and Beauty of Resilience (for me the ending was bad).

Also all this time JJY is under Siba, and Siba has the power to determine what drama she will act in, I think any artist cannot decide for themselves as long as they are still under an agency company unless they are independent, I have seen many C-artists who finally can independently can get more good projects and better business as long as they already have good connections and network
You can see Legend of Yunxi, The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion and Rebirth For You, JJY carried all those dramas to most of the artists under Siba (they milking her, that's why sometimes the screentime of some characters in the drama were quite a lot that we think was very unnecessary because they were all Siba artists because Siba wanted to promote them) those dramas were all Siba productions and fortunately JJY has good chemistry with male leads like ZZH, JZ

I see you always have bad opinions about her (I agree that there were some excessive for makeups) but on the other hand it seems like you defend her as if you were a good and critical fan, it's kinda weird and I don't think there is a single fan in this world who doesn't like all their idol's dramas but is still their fan? although we know that she was originally a former SNH48 idol singer

I need JJY in a modern drama, she is very lovely and adorable in this fantasy modern drama, hope her future projects are modern dramas although she was always very beautiful in costumes/historical dramas.
The acting of the two leads was very good and I like their banter although in their hearts they already like each other, my complaint is that many of her outfits are not suitable for scenes in the winter lol
I always like the concept of time travel like this where past connections and timelines are connected to the future like a butterfly effect. I cried in the last episode, JJY's acting in that video scene is very sad but also very beautiful, I have never seen an actress who acts crying well but is also very beautiful lol

Honestly this drama is not that bad, JJY's chemistry with GJC is quite good but I think the ending is not our favorite lol and once again I say that I see JJY's acting range was actually quite good in all her dramas. I started watching all her dramas after I liked her in "In Blossom" and she can easily create good chemistry with her male co-stars so I really don't understand why many people hate her, I hope she will get good drama scripts in the future

I watched this drama for JJY because I liked her in "In Blossom" honestly I've never watched her dramas before haha and i think JJY's acting range was quite good here, I've seen many actresses who were worse but still got the main roles so I don't understand why she has so many antis, if you say she often got typecast roles but I see many popular C-actresses who often got typecast roles too.
At least for me, she can differentiate acting with a sad angry crying expression and a deep sad crying expression lol

I can understand why many gave a low rating after the first 12 episodes which started out excitingly with intrigue and power political strategies in the palace because the next around 15-16 eps tell the story after the two lead characters got married, the development of understanding each other with lots of sweet and hilarious scenes also the female lead taking control of the Li house and getting rid of people who want to do evil to them, then in the last 12 episodes back to the palace again and many angst scenes.

My suggest for those of you who want to watch it, just watch it, don't be influenced by the low rating, although many give it low ratings, there are also many who enjoy it.

I really enjoyed this drama (i finished it in 3 days!) because :
1. The character design of the female lead character is described as a princess in the palace who is powerful, very smart, very pretty, beloved by the grand empress dowager and the emperor, and she really knows how to playing her cards to win games, because most stories in places where female lead characters who are smart but have ordinary backgrounds or just maids lol with many tortures and pain only then slowly gain power in the palace.

2. love how the two lead characters started to build a relationship and complement each other until they finally fell in love and then developed their feelings of love through various obstacles including at the Li residence which took quite long episodes (I like how the female lead took control of the Li Residence and got rid of all the people who wanted to do harm to the Li family)

3. lots of highlights of sweet moments between the 2 lead characters, JJY and JZ have a very great chemistry (hopefully they can collaborate again)

4. JJY was very very beautiful! I really like all of her costumes (and there were many) except for her headdress

5. The other character I like the most is the great Empress Dowager (the grandmother), her character was very impressive for me especially in the last 10 eps. She is an excellent example of an elderly, full of compassion and understanding, fair and very fond of Jiang Baoning (the female lead character).


The minuses of this drama are :
1. The second male & female lead characters are crazy obsessed toward to the male and female leads, even they got married and even pregnant, and even the emperor was also obsessed to the female lead lol

2. Too many episodes (i think around 15-16 eps) to tell story about the female and male lead in their married life but I enjoyed it because have many sweet and hilarious scenes. Many people don't like this part and for them it's like a decline from the excitement of the story in the first 12 episodes then back again in the last 12 eps.

3. The ending was not quite memorable but HE

I rate this drama as worthy of being given a 9 because there was not a single boring episode, an epic adventure, full of strong friendship story and a bit romance, quite good CGI, good acting for all the actors, every conversation and scene has a meaningful meaning for story building for next episodes.
But unfortunately for me, there were too few sweet and romantic scenes between Yun Tianhe and Han Lingsha lol they liked each other from the start and were later willing to make sacrifices for each other, although in their hearts they had already acknowledged their feelings for each other but only officially admitted their feelings to each other in ep 35 lol

Why do many people here not like JJY, maybe her acting still has some shortcomings but I think her acting was quite good and likeable here, she has a good chemistry with LXY, they are both visually very pleasing to eye. ZHHZ gives the impression of being a smart female character, but I think JJY is able to give a smart female character too with sometimes gives teasing expressions lol . People always tend to be harsher on women than men :(

Why aren't many people here praising the female lead's acting, her acting was also very good and she has a very good chemistry with the male lead, especially in intense kiss scenes or misunderstanding scenes lol

I just finished watching this drama yesterday. I didn't expect that I would like this drama so much. The best highlight of this drama is the OST and Xu Ruohan's acting is very good, she can express her emotions very well and she is very lovely here, I wanna hug her every time she cries 🥺 I’m her fan now 🤣😂

The cinematography and landscape scenes are very aesthetically pleasing and also giving the atmosphere a summer love vibe. There were a lot of hot and steamy deleted scenes, luckily I was able to search some of those hot and steamy deleted scenes on Weibo 😍🤩

I wonder why many comments here are so focused on how many scenes between FL and ML that it makes you all disappointed, actually the English title is very misleading because the meaning of the original Chinese title has a very different meaning. Basically this drama is more centered on the female lead's workplace as a lawyer profession, there are lots of good sentences that represent how discriminatory toward to career women in work field so that job opportunities for women are not as easy as men. Also about whether lawyers are really just a profession and selling their experience/ability to clients regardless of the case being defended whether the client has good/bad morals or indeed they have to stick to good moral principles. and other golden sentences.

If you guys just looking for a sweet drama and lovey-dovey scenes between FL and ML so this drama is not for you.

Their chemistry is also seen not only from sweet or lovey-dovey scenes but the intelligence of the FL and the ML that complement each other when they express their thoughts and feelings to each other when they are happy, sad or broke up. They have their own strong understanding and perspective.

Where you heard this? NO, the producers are not greed. Since the beginning this drama was intended to air on Hunan TV as well, publication has been done as one of upcoming dramas by Hunan TV since April 2021, but until now it still hasn't got available slot on Hunan TV, there are rumors from insiders that Tencent is pushing this drama to be air faster because lately a lot of Tencent's dramas are messy even before they air.
If a drama can be air on TV channels too, it will be very good, because they can reach a larger and more diverse audience, not everyone watches on streaming platforms.

Tencent wants to air it in April but is waiting for the slot schedule to air simultaneously on TV channels too, so we'll just have to wait to see if it can air in April or not.

OMG...Why did the rating drop to 8.5 so drastically? yesterday I saw it was still 9.4!
I think there's a bunch of antis bombarding voted 1 star.

Tencent has posted Novoland Pearl Eclipse in the list of dramas to be released this November, next week at the earliest. Yang Mi herself has said that this drama will soon be air on live stream last night.

Long enough I'm not stopped by here, what happened with the rating? why fall down from 9.1 to 8.9? This drama deserves rating more than 9!!
