Another reason: too much manipulation in Douban now. A lot of paid anti-fans are from the competitors of the actors/actresses/production…
I agree with you all, it just they deliberately did it at this extent to bring down all those actors/actresses it makes me sad.

What kind of rude comments? I thought the Chinese audience were loving the drama?
How to say...I think not all Chinese audience in general, just anti-fans. When the female lead is very popular and has a very huge fanbase in China but also has many anti-fans. The drama itself went well on online views and web ranking in China (she is the queen of drama rating!)

I was shocked when saw the rating in Douban for Fuyao, only 4.8 of 10? so much different from the rating on various english sites, i guess so many rude comments directing to the female lead? this is very unfair to her, she did a very good job in Fuyao. I think the international audiences are much fairer.
