Wait, are the main leads rivals? The new trailer makes it look like they have a difficult relationship. The older one makes it look like they are yearning for each other. I am so confused.

Yes, but I thought they would keep the happy endings in some of Liu Xue Yi's other dramas. Alas, they did not.

Does the novel/book have a happy ending at least? I know that does not always guarantee one in the drama/show, but without one they never do a happy ending.
