the show didn’t switch protagonists mid-episode, it just started telling the actual story.
the “old guy” you’re complaining about is literally the main character. reading the synopsis would’ve saved you the confusion.

i think some comments are funny because there’s no way 😭 it’s already episode 9 and people are only now realizing there’s a slight romance? they’re basically dating at this point. or do people think romance only counts if there’s kissing? the writer kept it subtle, and since it’s not the main focus, it shows up in little moments like the way she looks at him as if her whole world suddenly has color.

so your comparison basically turned into a whole police report about a puddle in traffic. at this point you’re about to include the car’s speed, wind direction, atmospheric pressure, and witness statements just to say “use the spoiler tag.”

i’ve been in japan for like a year or two now and i’ve had friends say that to me. my friend here actually says it to me pretty often. it’s not super common, but modern japan is a bit different nowadays.

the guy literally said if i'm not mistaken that heeju is different from everyone 🤥 he straight up admitted he cheated on her multiple times and now heeju gotta make her brain work to keep that jerk out of her life. did you see what happened with that other girl? even if she gets caught, i'm sure he wouldn't think twice and would run off with the gold.

Exactly! And the funny thing is, the very people "protecting" the drama from imaginary haters end up being far more toxic than any real hater ever could be. They create an environment on MDL where criticizing any drama becomes an act of high treason u disagreed? You're a bot. You gave it a 7.5 instead of 10? Clearly a paid troll working for the kdrama competition.
The result is a community where only unconditional cheerleaders survive, honest reviews get buried in downvotes, and the fandom becomes increasingly trapped in a bubble of "this drama changed my life and if you didn't like it you have no soul." korean thrillers really became globally popular in the 2000s, but the genre itself isn’t exclusive to korea. a lot of countries, including china, japan, and hollywood, have strong thriller traditions too just with different styles and pacing. it’s more about creative approach than one industry being better than the other

it was inevitable. he’s probably portraying victims who were wrongly accused and abused by the police back then.

thriller fans, especially here on mdl, don’t really care about ratings. trust me, just ignore the ratings and enjoy it.
