rewatching this after 4 years and attempted to get past 18th episode but i just couldn't... i just can't bear to ruin their happy love life in my memory it hurts so much why did this happen to them? 😭
edit: well i watched the remaining eps... didn't hurt as much since i watched it on 2x, also with my emotions partially off but like ya still made me pout all the way that such a perfect story ended on a sad note but i guess it stayed true to its name and showed us a pinch of reality, you just crossed all your hurdles and are finally having a happy life but fate decides to fuck it all up, 9/10 for the rest of the 18 episodes tho :)
normally when i rewatch a series i don't really be enjoying it all that much because it loses its element of surprise but this one is different. i think it's my 4th time but it's still so good just like my 1st time during lockdown. one thing that changed is, back then i was hoping for like short part-2 with a proper closure where one of them isn't jail but now i feel like it's perfect just the way it is. the creators of this show were using 200% of their brains :)

well i found the first part better than this but i guess it was a fun watch. 8/10. also, that iced tea or americano was a paid actor lmao😭

ok my view on this changed because this was very bad and i rated it 4 when i first watched it but now that i am rewatching it before starting part 2, suddenly it's an 8/10, huge improvement. probably because the first time around i was just so focused on bringing my ptw list down that i forgot to enjoy and analyze what it made me feel.
and for those wondering if you would miss anything if you don't watch the uncut version, don't worry. it's just few extra seconds of the kiss scenes, nothing other than that. it would be great if you can afford to support sukfilm but if you're broke don't bother buying that expensive membership, you ain't missing much.
acting is great and unlike the other two series from history1, this had a story that was moving. they made good use of their 80 mins. yes, it was toxic but i guess it was living upto its name. 8/10.
first of all, i really struggle with finding interest in short form series i know it's about 80 mins long when combined but like idk it just feels like i didn't watch anything worthwhile and history initial stories are really something. there is no proper flow of story, just pieced together random scenes and called it a day.
and the next thing is, the plot, stepbrothers and their fujoshi friend... weird af from every angle but the last episode was kinda ok i guess. 5/10.
lan xi, who suddenly passed away because the grimreaper made a mistake, she wanted to go back to her life somehow but her ex-boyfriend wants to move on? unfair si ren, who is constantly bullied and leading a miserable and depressed life found the love of his life but he was destined to die before he could even confess his feelings? unfair hero, who is struggling to accept his sexuality because of societal pressure so he just lives his life pretending to be what he is not? unfair
based on my interpretation, it got some depth to the story but personally i am not a fan of any kind of body switch because it makes the feelings and interactions between characters feel very incomplete. 4/10 is the best i could give :)
