guys there is an after credit scene btw in case you missed it. i was just thinking they should have ended it at mystery club setting instead of the skyscraper, glad i stayed till the end of credits and caught that. came in full circle, such an amazing ending.
totally get the hype but i am not sure i liked it as much as others did. i was not too into it but i guess it wasn't that bad. it was especially funny during the early episodes, romance was great, they had chemistry, so many cute moments and kisses, hoping they will pick up a project again, surface level revenge plot that i didn't really pay attention to, SML not as annoying, things played out smoothly so i wasn't too frustrated while watching, 8/10.
guys i am dropping it. i can't take anymore of this nonsense. i usually chase after tropes so idek if i am too shallow for this or if it's just bad but in the 28 eps i watched i can't tell you about a single scene that sticked with me.
usually cdramas are long. they explore a lot of aspects so most of the time atleast one thing will be well done even if everything else turn out be straight bs but this one doesn't have that one interesting aspect either.
it's a female centric drama revolving around tea business but was there really any business in there? with such women in the household maybe it makes sense that business is flourishing but i really can't believe it survived this long. except from a few lines in their little tea room and few scenes at the tea plantation, what about this was tea business? i really can't see it.
romance... if you are coming for it turn back now. it doesn't follow the traditional play of events and througout the drama, romance stays as a background plot with no development whatsoever. it's just there when it's time for ML to appear on screen to support the FL. other than that, there's no intimacy, no confession of feelings, no real development, they just grow a little closer during the second half of the series and that's about it for their romance.
characters... there isn't a single likeable character in this show. all of them had too many flaws, even the FL and maybe that's realistic but sometimes i really couldn't understand the intentions behind their actions. it's all a blur. only ML was kinda fun to watch during the first half but that can only go so long to keep me interested and he really had nothing much going on after that. ironic isn't? liking an ML in a female centric drama, feels a bit shameful to admit this as a woman.
i wasn't even expecting sisterhood when i started this. i was just expecting a family of dominanting women leading the business world with their tea and working together to make it flourish or something along those lines but it isn't that at all. that grandmother is a petty person, i am sorry for wishing death on old people but this old bitch deserves to die. no wonder her granddaughters turned out like this. it is indeed her fault and with her around, it was inevitable. the situation in the family is so bad right from the start that i really can't believe they are talking about centuries of business. how did they not go bankrupt already because of family fueds.
during the first few eps the men were fighting, making schemes and plots and then a few men stayed back to make more trouble. the sisters were never in peace but suddenly got together around 25th ep. the mystery cases arisied one after the other and then solved but the explanations to their solving was utter nonsense. now after all this that old bitch wants her to marry lan bitch why tf make 10 eps of competition then? and that lan is definitely upto something, i don't even have to watch to make this out. who tf wrote all this? the script is so fucking weak.
the only good thing about this drama was the cinematography and the background music choice for those scenes. it was a bit too aesthetic and pleasing to the eyes and can't be ignored easily.
AND the fan pr on x is misleading. reverse harem? don't play with me. none of this is reverse harem. the FL barely had any interest in the ML, let alone the other guys who i don't even know why they were even there in the first place.
5/10 for the 28 eps i watched, usually when i drop i always say i might pick it up later because at that moment i always feel like i would enjoy it at some other time but i would never enjoy this storyline at any time. bye.
why even write romance if they are going to ruin it all at crucial moments? like every single time. the romance isn't even the main plot and removing it wouldn't have made much difference but giving crumbs and then turning the fan on to scatter it all in one go is just so cruel to the viewers.
well it was funny at first. i thought all those people who came to propose were going to be annoying but they're just clueless fools and quite entertaining to watch. and our ML... this guy viciously schemes and makes all kinds of plots then goes to his lord husband with 🥺 eyes lol he is just so funny 😭 BUT i am quickly losing interest. it's not boring but there isn't much to look forward to. i will see it through the end but it really should pick up in the next few eps.
stupid and naive characters really do ruin the series just by doing nothing but acting so dumb. the sister character is especially written to get on nerves omfg i can't stand her at all. it's been a long while since i was this hooked to a show and she's ruining it for me.
watched the first 2 eps. didn't really find it interesting enough but that's most cdramas for me in the earlier eps so maybe i would have seen it till the end if i just sticked around for a few more eps but i had exams it was put on hold and now a month later i don't really want to pick it back up. that's sad since i was really excited to watch it initially but my brain already moved on 😮💨
anyways, i felt like the revelations happened way too quickly. it was going on a steady pace but the last few eps felt so rushed and randomly put together to make sense.
2x-ed every scene with situ ling and the fox together. i just didn't vibe with them right from the start. but i am glad that whatever misunderstandings were happening between the leads had no external influence. they mostly did that themselves and got over it. i like it when writers don't make second ML an extra annoying bitch just to make the leads suffer. and if you think this guy was annoying you haven't seen enough cdrama.
been a fan of lu yuxiao's works since my journey to you and will look forward to her future roles too. never watched anything from ML other than this one but i liked him very much in this one so i will check him out.
first watch of the year and it turned out good enough, 9/10.
ok i rewatched the trailers and this is probably the one i am most excited to watch. visuals are great, but i hope the story and production live upto expectations.
can't take anymore of this, dropping. i was in the mood for some new siwaj multi couple bls so i started and finished we are in literally 2 days and then i wanted more so i started this one literally right after but for some reason i didn't like this one. we are wasn't anything special either, both have plotless uni romance and this one probably has more plot than we are but i was just struggling to finish forcebook and i can't even get into perthsanta. anyways, 6/10 for the eps i watched. might pick it back up after a few months.

you make good points. this could have gone pretty well what a waste of time and talent.
