People who says his series are bad really need to tell me whats wrong with Until We Meet Again
nothing, actually. his works have never changed. he still follows the same pattern as he did in uwma. the only thing that changed is people's standards. i am saying this as the biggest brand ambassador of umwa, the series that i defined my whole personality on during 2019-2022. it stayed my top1 until '22 and then i decided to rewatch for the 7th time and realised it was time to move on. it wasn't bad but I just couldn't sit through it. sometimes you just grow out of it for no fucking reason. do I still watch his series? some of them, yes. are they good? they're are so-so. he picks up scripts that don't have anything interesting going on except the usual drama and don't know about others but I need to be in certain mood to be able to sit through and enjoy those.
one thing I don't understand about thai BLs is, how does everyone have fans? highschool & university students, bakery boys, chefs and now a weather reporter? is this reality in thailand or just exaggerated for the show? because i feel like they just have few girls screaming on screen for that celebrity main character aura but it ends up looking so stupid when you think about it.
i just commented here 2hrs ago about how i can let go of it peacefully because i didn't start it yet but turns out i actually give a lot of fucks about this series because my mood hit a new low and i am very close to killing myself. the hyperfixation for something i haven't even watched yet is crazy. i don't think i can live peacefully. i can't even fall asleep.
they really should have released all of them at once or just quickly. why are these companies so stupid even after so long? they work so hard on it but make stupid decisions which either leads to shelfing, heavily censoring or discontinuing. if a chinese BL is in the airing phase for more than a few weeks, we might never see its end. well glad that i didn't start it yet because i saw this coming long ago. i can let go of it with no hard feelings. bye :>

anyways, its all you can expect from a BL made in 2015. low budget, questionable camera angles, no proper flow of story, weird ass scene cuts and eng subs which are barely understandable. i have no particular attachment to this story but no doubt, just from the few clips i have watched on youtube, i like the new version better. but still, this was a fun rewatch. 8/10.
ok i think nostalgia did it for me because why did i like it so much? so i originally started it because their new series came out and this couple returned after sooooo long. i also never rewatched this series after my first time so i needed to reminisce their dynamic from the past before watching the ex-morning. SOTUS, i don't really remember feeling anything special about the series & plot itself but i do have memories about it.
i got into thai BLs when i was in my last years of highschool. at that time, there were only a handful of series so i watched everything that was out there without thinking much about it. while rewatching the episodes, i kept thinking about what i was doing that week while waiting for that week's ep. i was always crying because my studies were so stressful, i was not doing well in class, my ex-crush rejected me around that time, basically a lot of shit was going on and my teenage self was having the worst time of her life. and this was one form of entertainment that kept me sane. i could forget everything for a while and just watch two men being in love. i don't think i can credit a single series for it but i do remember this being one of them.
when i decided i was going to rewatch this. i was ready with that 2x button because whenever i watch old BLs i just can't take that cringe, those long awkward pauses, those very obvious dialogues, and those humorless jokes. even my most favorite BL, UWMA, which stayed top1 on my list until 2022 eventually fell out because my standards changed and the BLs i enjoyed so much back then, were so hard to get through. i thought this would be the same but i am genuinely surprised that i liked it so much. whether it be nostalgia, my good mood or something else, i rarely found myself looking for the 2x button throughout the whole series. the only annoying thing was the lighting, its so bad. i was playing with the brightness setting a lot because it was hurting my eyes.
idk if i will rewatch the 2nd season because i remember it being annoying, but this one was good. 8/10.

i am just barely stopping myself from starting this because i would rather wait a bit longer than experience cliffhangers every single week but GOD i have been seeing every yt short made on this series, i basically watched every scene ðŸ˜
i don't even need to check to know who the author is, this series screams p'sam all over it. no one can do medical gay shows better than her. i hope she continues to do her magic. a very interesting word "euthanasia" i have never come across it and apparently active euthanasia is illegal in my country. it's a topic i have reading been on since yesterday. it's really interesting to read what people have to say about it so i have been checking a lot of debates and past cases.
the actors did their job well. those tiny sparks between them were more than enough for me to keep going. romance wasn't actually the main concept which i liked and disliked at the same time because i initially came just for that without checking anything so a bit disappointed but after thinking about it, it made sense that the minimal heart fluttering moments go well with these kinds of stories so as not to take the spotlight off the main theme of the show.
overall, it's very well written except a few things. i don't know why i felt like there wasn't much suspense despite it having so many plot twists. i really don't know why. it's just unsettling that i found it very predictable when it wasn't supposed to be. i feel like i created a problem for myself by guessing too correctly, if that even makes sense.
OKAY WHAT THE FUCK???? tbh i did have a few guesses about oat. i noticed that he was appearing wayyy too much for a side character who doesn't have a proper storyline except being boss' best friend. during the initial episodes, i thought he would have something like boss breaking up oat and his partner or boss breaking up oat's parents' marriage, so oat is just hanging around to take revenge but nothing like that happened as the episodes progressed so i thought tay was just put there to be that famous side character that gmmtv usually does alot in their BL's. BUT LORD THIS??? i did not see that coming. that was the plot-twist of the year. i enjoyed the episode and most of the series. it's on the way to become a 10/10, they just need to not fuck up the finale.
