Title The Romance
I love watching the Qiao Xin and Xu Wei Zhou pairing. With shows like this I expect for there to be that bent…
Yes, their interaction is so natural. I love watching them too. Their micro-film is so sweet too.

As far as I know Xu Wei Zhou is still the lead and I'm confident Gulinaza too. Not sure about the rest. Filming…
The Chinese official title is 风起西州. I believe this second season is more about General Pei's (real life historical figure) military life after he was banished from court. This western region was where Pei was in charge of pacifying Turkic rebellion against Tang Dynasty. The first part deviated a lot from the book it adapted from but I'm hopeful for this second season with a new director.

what about the cast? The same leads?
As far as I know Xu Wei Zhou is still the lead and I'm confident Gulinaza too. Not sure about the rest. Filming is pretty closed off and low key. Hopefully we'll get some kind of news.

Looking forward to more works from you, Xu Weizhou. I am sorry you had to struggle, through no fault of yours, since your debut up to recently but the future will be bright! All the best to you.

Does he speak English? His English accent was pretty good in addicted heroin!
He does. He has a couple English songs too, if you're interested. They are "Rio" and "It's Always You".

Well, it's an espionage drama set during WW2. Of course the characters will be patriotic and love their country…
Wow, how long has it been? I thought you've gain wisdom. Anyone having read through the links I shared above would invalidate what you just posted. I wonder what your reaction now that Uighurs farmers in China are suing Adrian Zenz for his lies. Uighur women are also coming out to denounced lies produced by mainstream media on rapes and sterilization. But, you won't hear/see this in mainstream media. Hmm, wonder why? I know you will say they are brainwashed by the Chinese government. Although they do live a pretty good lives in China, without terrorist attacks and no longer living in poverty. We each have out own stance on this issue.

Additionally, looking at the bigger picture of why, WHY there's a rise in anti-China, anti-Asian in the US? Why is it this pattern of slander, hate, demonization and propagations against China is eerily similar to how the US started wars with Syria (baby in incubator) and Iraq (weapon of mass destruction). I will no longer reply back to you. As a saying goes, you can't wake up someone who pretends to sleep. I hope you a beautiful day.

On your last statement. It's an open knowledge in China that social media such as Twitter and Google products and Facebook are being banned and accessible only via VPN. Wonder why? Let's go back to how extremists terrorist attacks starts in Xinjiang. Back when Facebook was still in China, it played a vital role in how terrorists organized their attacks in the region. The Chinese government ordered the company to block such communication but was rebuffed because the company uses western freedom and democracy to not allow such terrorists to carry on. Consequently, western social media as mentioned above are no longer in China. I think the Chinese government probably have in hindsight what the west is going to bring to China, e.g. the wave after wave of bias reporting, accusations and hypocrisy not just to the government but to the Chinese people. Think about the "Chinese" virus and how it has create trauma for Chinese and the Asian community world worldwide. Now look at China's own social media from weibo to Wechat to bilibili. They are no less innovative than Twitter, Facebook and Google. Honestly, I'd say they are more so as I am using them. With that said, I'm appreciate the government for being transparent unlike YouTube, that I know of, to delete videos based on their new rules (if you have read the new terms of use then you'll know what I mean).

While browsing through YouTube I found this video. Basically kind of sum up what I wrote above. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2srfDwM2sQ

Lmao, Dailymail, DW, BusinessInsider, and Hong Kong leaked clips. I would not expect anything less. Seriously, I took time to read and watch the links your shared.

Dailymail, please show me ONE positive article about China or the Chinese government they wrote. Same with DW news outlet. Anything from Hong Kong, I take with a grain of salt. Same with BusinessInsider.

Now, please also, take some time to read through mine as well.

Sorry but not sorry to have to burst your bubble. Here's an article to debunk some of your claims. It was done by an investigative journalist that the five eyes allies (AU, CA, NZ, UK, US) currently lack: https://thegrayzone.com/2019/12/21/china-detaining-millions-uyghurs-problems-claims-us-ngo-researcher/

Another one:
https://thegrayzone.com/2020/03/26/forced-labor-china-us-nato-arms-industry-cold-war/

Your earlier cliams: https://thegrayzone.com/2019/09/30/reports-china-organ-harvesting-cult-falun-gong/

Something to think about. Wonder why the ethnic groups in China are not restricted to one-child policy?? Please compare the births of ethnic groups, especially, Uyghur to the Han Chinese. If mosques are being destroyed why are there currently 39,000 mosques in China and 25,000 alone in Xinjiang. Hmm. And wonder why there haven't been any terrorist attacks in Xinjiang for many years after surveillance is activated? Have you seen the images from the attacks? Would you rather have that then now? Take a look at the GDP of Xinjiang as well while you are at it. No government is perfect but I am all for saving lives then deaths.

Word of advise, learn to discern facts from fiction and learn to ask questions. Read from multiple sources not just one no matter how believable or how you want it to be true. Besides your usual Dailymail and DW news, try RT (Russian news), CGTN (China), CNA (Singapore) and The Grayzone among others to enlightened your views a bit.

Your perceived facts in your first sentence tells me all about where you got your news from. They are word for word what Fulong Gong spread. Please check your facts straight before you post such brainwashing bag.

episodes 1&2my impression = better than martial universe
Yes. The first several episodes are usually a good indicator of whether or not the series will be good. Right off the bat, the characters and scene transitions are so much more better and smoother than Martial Universe.

Okay, everyone keeps complaining about characters or plot but...Have any of you noticed how UNFITTING the OST…
Tell me about it! It totally throws me out of the drama whenever the rap song comes on. Ergghhh I think a rock song would be a bit more fitting than rap with these type of custom/fantasy drama.

I agree with this. At first I thought it was a glitch that the scenes abruptly changed but as I watched 2 eps…
With the amount of time before the air date and financial investments for this project I expect high quality overall. So far the series has not met them. The choppy/sloppy and cut-and-paste together scenes make the final product looks very amateur. And don't get me start on the music and the custom designs. There are just too many flaws altogether that I am hoping against hope that it improves in later episodes. Otherwise this will be a big flop, at least for me. Which would be very unfortunate as I really like these type of Chinese fantasy/magic series.

I fried my eyes with Ice Fantasy just to have a mild/weak ending. So, I'm not ready to take another risk. Will…
I heard that Ice Fantasy was good but I never got the urge to even start watching. The custom design was too cringey to watch- western/Lord of the Ring-ish looking. I'll try to stick around for this show, although I've honestly just fast forwarded ep 5 & 6. And the weird choppy editing does not help. LOL Maybe I'll just watch Shi Xiao Long's cut scenes. :)
