Wow, some hates comments in here I find are just λ_λ Well, you either love or you hate. In the end, that's…
Some of the hate comment maybe stem from feminism belief. 1. "That Bai Jue decided everything for Shanggu". Like maybe they didn't remember that Bai Jue respect Shanggu's wish which is to save the Three Realms. If not he can just do it like Tianqi destroying the realms. Instead he chose to respect her wish in his own way (he replace her for the tribulation) 2. "Why he didn't let Shanggu share his burden like Qingmu did with Houchi in the Green Dragon Platform?" Hello it's tribulation of chaos can kill people and not reborn again? He doesn't want her to die, even if he agree that they die together, what about the Three Realms? Losing 1 true god is hard but losing 2 is devastating. They forget that this story isn't about just love it's also about responsibility. 3. "Why he isn't sweet to her before sacrifice himself, instead he chose to hurt her?" I think it's stated that Bai Jue knew the pain of being left behind, so he try to make himself insignificant/stranger to Shanggu and take away her memories so that she won't be sad when he die.
I'm also a feminist myself and believe in woman equalism, but at death and life situation we can't just judge everything black and white.
I'm sure after all of this tribulation come to past he will respect and protect her like before in the first arc.
That's why people need to watch the first arc if they want to see how Bai Jue actually love and respect her as a person. He never impose himself, he take her idea/her response into consideration. He's not some domineering selfish pushover guy. People complained that the first arc is boring, ff or skip it, then afterward bashing Bai Jue for his later action is so -_-
Yeah, that's why we go back fo first arc for the sweetest scene π€
Yeah like what people remember from the first arc ? Baijue isn't that cold or heartless he's just a little awkward but still sweet to her. My fond memories especially how he glance at her then act like nothing happened. He's just a little restrained, but deep down he care and it shows in his action.
Someone mention before tianqi happy ending is in another book
I think the rebirth is kind of one in a chance thing, like you can make people alive again if you can gather enough of their souls. While i don't remember much about Zhihan, but Yuemi can't be reborn by Tianqi because he's been searching for her souls, but didn't find them yet. So it's not because TianQi is least powerful, but he didn't find her.
In E47 when Shanggu and Qingmu look at each other, Qingmu with yearning look, Shanggu with curiosity mix longing look, I can't help but translate Bai Jue's reaction as jealous? afraid? πππ
What's your favorite OST of this drama? Some of my new favorite song is this drama's OST especially Perseverance (for death's scene), Nian Sui (for the pain or torture), then Ju Lian (for happy time). ALP has the best singers in their assemble lol.
about the rival thing its just my assumption since the novel still ongoing, on the basis that Bai Shuo was going through life and death situation with that boy and their bond is strong
