After the ending, it makes me grateful for the first life and currently rewatching it. Like a balm for all the pain and bitterness later.

It says Chief of God, not literally the strongest God or something. So it means Shanggu is chief = leader. And I think she's doing good for someone still young and new to the role. She can make wise judgement from some of the scene.
Also if you don't like the drama you can always not watching it. Why the hate and spam all this time. Lol

Yeah it's so sad that the path he took literally so painful and lonely. And it's for 60.000!!! Damn that's a lot of perseverance if I see one. And he doesn't even get recognition by some people who just hating on him for the failed wedding to Jingzhao. This man need a hug after all that he's done.

I think i finally understand why the ending is that way. Because the drama is faithfully follow the novel for most part. And actually Yuan Qi have his own sequel novel, he didn't meet his father again as a child but when he already grow up and met a tribulation. So maybe that's why there's nothing about the young child - father meeting.
Also Yue Mi and Tian Qi have their own book too so maybe that's why she didn't reborn at the end of the dramas.

I saw through the novel list by this author and I think there's novel featuring Yuan Qi, maybe its the continuation after Bai Jue died.

I agree. While Wu Huan's family got so much screentime for their closure, i'd rather it was given to Shang Gu - Bai Jue or Tian Qi - Yue Mi or Jing Jian - Fengran. The ending was too abrupt. After all the torture and pain we need some longer sweet moments.

I have finished binge watching this drama and my fave couple should be 2nd brother and Parrot Tribe girl. So goodlooking together and well matched. Im glad that finally a pair who move on from former love and find true love with each other
