After watching all the episodes i kinda have to admit that the negative traits of Cui Lin is she's the type that becomes a kind of spoiled brat in front of the one who pampered her most like her father and Li Ni, a typical generic single child behavior, because she knows that they love her so much and will tolerate her in almost anything.
I still tolerate her when she has cold war with Li Ni after he refuse to save LCF because i hope of her growth later.
I still tolerate her throwing tantrum and sulking at their wedding because she's still grieving her father illness.
I just hope later she will ask forgiveness from him for her irrasional behavior that hurting him because it's also hard for him, he didn't want this to happen and it's not his fault either. But when finally her father is well again they just brush off this scene with her saying thank you? Girl you've been giving him cold shoulder and making his wedding so miserable can you please for once humbled yourself and say sorry and coax him more? She's too prideful and secure in his love for her that she will get forgiven without trying. It's not like he's hard to coax, he's too easy to her. If I were him I want to reprimand her for doing cold war everytime there's a disagreement. When you're in love and together you should solve the problem via communication from heart to heart and never shut down the other person. Its just hurting for both party and emphasize that one side more giving in in this relationship. It's not the power couple that I envisioned.


I can't forgive that this drama didn't give her character a chance to become more humble and know to apologize for mistakes she made.

I cried a bucket between this drama and ALP. Both will be dear in my heart.

What do you mean competitive? Competition meaning that Li Ni is a jerk who is juggling between the 2 girls and whoever win will get him. He already straightforwardly emphasize to miss Gu that he doesn't like her and never will like her even if Cui Lin isn't around. There will never be a form of relationship between the two aka he isn't interested ever in her (she's not his type) . Heck he even further sharpening the knife by saying that if she found someone else to love then he will help her. This boundaries set by Li Ni should be sufficient for her to back off this unrequited love and stay in her friendship zone and salvage maybe whatever good in herself that she has.
But no she can't accept it and insist on comparing herself with Cui Lin saying that she loves him more and she will treat him better than her etc but the thing is one sided affair is different from a mutual liking. Cui Lin maybe sometimes behave irrationally and throwing trantum at Li Ni and I admit that Cui Lin is the type that becomes a kind of spoiled person in front of the one who pampered her most like her father and Li Ni and its one of her negative traits, but that's the due of privilege of being in love and loved back fiercely by him. Mis Gu, an outsider who's not in this relationship doesn't know how Cui Lin desperately trying to save his life physically and emotionally after his best friends died and how she becomes the last thing that thethered Li Ni from following them to dead. And what's again this Miss Gu doing at those time? She just sent her maid while sitting in her room gloating in her heart about how she will become Crown Princess. And she dare to talk about treat him better!
So no need to compare herself (GWN) to how Cui Lin behave because it's different case. The heart want what it wants and there's nothing miss Gu can do about it. What not yours won't be yours even if you force it. She should know when to stop. But her persistence to compete and compare escalating and it becomes her obsession that she can't extricate herself from it to the point that she can't differentiate between good and bad anymore. Killing and ruining people lives for the sake of unrequited love is the lowest and most coward kind of loving.
If you're so brave in falling in love then you must be brave in accepting defeat when this love isn't recripocated. She didn't do the latter.
I feel pitiful for her because till the end she can't accept this and still pretending to be virtuous in front of him with the hope it would touch his heart and her ending makes most sense for me. I want to laugh at how much this word Crown Pincess irked and motivated her to the point of madness

I saw some nice post in weibo saying that the director presented the Li Ni's 5 stage of grief accurately and thoroughly in this episode . I personally think this episode so good and crying along with him. Don't worry there's a rainbow at the rnd of the journey so please watch till the end.

Yes she becomes obsessed with him. Alas too bad she stay untill the end. But good riddance at least

The memorable scene when Li Ni tearing apart GWN's facade while also intimidating her under his sword lol. Poor her earring and hair accessories becomes victim. This scene reinforce that Li Ni saw through her facade from a long time ago but just tolerate her because she didn't do anything bad yet.

Make fun of Cui Lin? Yeah she secretly always comparing herself with her to the point f madness I think.

Finally her dreams has been shattered by his own word lol. No wonder she becomes crazy later.

I already suspect it when someone says that there's a people in the capital who's helping Sun Jing. Remember his reputation that he's loyalist of Royal Family and didn't want to bow to Sun Jing's power? I think he secretly did but still maintaining his disguise to keep the the virtuous PM persona alive. That way he can step into 2 boats, whoever win the war he can still sit at his seat as PM.

I think he's the one that secretly contact Jieshuo. Also maybe the one who LCF talked about.

I think the theme of this drama is how they will grow to understand each other and finally compromise. In the upcoming eps we see Li Nis compromise by him finally trying to fight for the throne and I'm waiting to see her turn to compromise, finally. I hope that she realize that the lost of Cui army is the price of the path that she has embarked and not be angry too long at Li Ni for that. Both of them still can rely on each other to survive.
I just hope that General Cui still alive and well even if his wing is clipped.

ALP is my all time favorite and WOL on the way to become it. Its all angsty but romantic for sure.

I'm one of the few people here who dislike the SFL because she want him just for the glory, its not like she loves him wholeheartedly or sincerely. Maybe I'm more tolerant if she's someone who loves ML from his days as a unambitious soldier at Lalolan Pass bu no, she fall in love with a Zhenxi's Army marshal, Emperor Grandson who wield a military power, just for the sake to uplift her standing in her family and eventually in society. And she already stepped up her game from her kind and understanding persona to scheming to frame Cui Yi of treason. She's not an innocent.


Also I bet she also wouldn't want to go to Laolan Pass with Li Ni, if given a choice.

I think he knows from the start her bs but still tolerate her because she didn't go further but this time forcing him to marry her (by her father manipulating the emperor maybe), he won't tolerate her anymore. Also from the easter egg it seems PM Gu will be killed by Li Ni so i don't think she will end up well at the end.

From the preview it seems her reluctance to become Crown Princess really have anything with her father goes crazy.

From the preview, is that how GWN still become Liangdi even though Li Ni reject her? She becomes Liangdi by emperor's edict, then try to hung herself to force Li Ni to accept her out of sympathy.

I hope there's a plot twist to this scene. I've been waiting to figure it out since the first time i watch the first trailer
