Ya imo different ppl operate at different speed. They came into a show as strangers. You can be interested or attracted to a person but doesnt mean you match well and it takes time to find out. Plus if we see vip episodes, theres actually a lot thats editted out of the main episodes. Always good to not judge them prematurely.

I get what you mean. I thk the novel writes XJ as the greenest flag. He communicated outright and chooses to believe her. So theres an expectation for the drama. I was bracing myelf that screenwriter/editor will spoil it by sacrificing bits for drama/angst effect. Rather unfortunate.
On the bright side howver, he wasnt cruel to her after that. He let her stayed, needed time to digest, was silently protective and while she was sleeping, he recalled all the times she was there for him. So that redeemed him in my eyes.

Yes. I feel the same. Although we dont like him but i kind of get why hes fixated on her. In his bleak life and carrying all the darkness, forcing himself to do bad, he sees her as that light, that ray of good that he never could be.
