Shelfleigh

I enjoyed this story. The romantic leads had excellent chemistry together. Their romance is complicated for many reasons, and the story takes time to explore the facets of those complications. Considering it uses plot devices I typically detest - gaslighting and amnesia (not a spoiler as they are in episode 1) - I'm amazed I liked it as much as I did. My biggest issues is the main female lead. The actress was wonderful, but the character is a bit too perfect to be realistic or interesting. As the story progressed, I found myself becoming less engaged with the main leads. Instead, I found the characters and romance between the Emperor and Empress to be more engaging, sweet, and heartfelt. The Empress - both the character and the actress - just absolutely shined at the end. Overall a ton of fun with sweet romances, political intrigue, and #ladiessupportingladies.
