As it seems, the original subber dropped this gem in favor to some forgettable doramas. But machine translated subs are available on subscene. These have their flaws: Words like, I, you, he, she, me are most of the time wrong, as the machine needs to understand the context for having these translated properly. Names are often translated incorrectly and sometimes the meaning turns out to be the opposite: Instead on "welcome home" we read "go back". Or "big" shows up for "thank you". But if you pay close attention, you will be able to understand almost all of it. Don't miss it: the perfomances of Sugisaki Hana is simply breathtaking as are the performances of the two actors playing the Suganoya brothers.
No comment yet!? This is actually awfully good. Yes, it is from 1999, but we don't see weird haircuts or strange fashion styles as of is too often the case in those old doramas. This is not old-fashioned at all. It feels rather fresh, and even tough there is the regular topic of a serious illness, it never feels awkward. The two lead characters suffer from their own pains, the side characters fit in very well, except for the one played by Vivian Hsu, who appears too childish (apparently not her fault). Kiichi Nankai's character reminds me on his role in Kaze no Garden, so you might know what to expect. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!
