I had high expectations for this because the book was a masterpiece but... The movie was kind of a mess? Maybe it's because obviously they couldn't fit everything in two hours but I felt like every two seconds a character was killed and we didn't even know much about them. When you read the book you see the whole thing through each character's perspective and you learn more about their background and their personality so you start liking or hating them. But in the movie everything is rushed and it's kind of difficult to follow. Also they didn't really talk much about Kawada's plan that was kind of genius and we didn't see much of his personality either even though his character is amazing in the book. So yeah I was a bit disappointed but overall it wasn't a bad movie.
I started to watch the first episode of Nou ni Sumaho ga Umerareta and it was so funny! When I read the plot I was so confused but it actually looks pretty promising!
I stopped watching this after eleven episodes (and I had thought about it before already) because I just HATE…
Well it's good that you saw it as wrong! Because many people didn't. When I was reading the comments on Viki, some of them contained words like "romantic", "hot", "sexy", "sweet" and I just felt REALLY uncomfortable.

I really don't want to keep talking about this because we all have our own opinion and I'm not trying to make you change your mind but there's just one thing that kind of shocked me in your comment. "Silent consent" isn't a thing.. And it's really important that you know that. I'm not even talking about the drama anymore, just life in general. You should know that silent consent doesn't exist. Not verbally saying "no" doesn't mean that you're giving consent. So many sexual assault victims couldn't say "no" but that doesn't mean they weren't assaulted.
(((And by the way BLY did in fact resist physically in ep 11 and that's a way of saying no.)))

I understand what you mean but you see, this is exactly what I don't like. From what I've seen (since I didn't watch the last four episodes), what Gu Hai did was unforgivable. It was assault, I'm sorry, I know it's a scary word, but it's literally what it was. And as I said in my comment, it spreads the wrong message because his behaviour isn't right and since no one confronts him about it, people who watch it won't realize that it's wrong, if that makes sense. The scene in ep 11 was probably meant to be seen as romantic and that's a problem. Because it wasn't.
Oh I see exactly what you mean! I also noticed that they never really used any labels to define their sexuality or anything and not being a fan of labels myself, I didn't think much of it but now I completely understand your point.
I really hope someone subs this!! The cast looks so good and I love the soundtrack already (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rheYtCjapi0&list=PLVYe-iFUf0j9rBVjXfjKUc6LB_IcZTDf6&index=27)
Also the ending.. Absolutely loved it!
I guess you're right!
