++ I don't really understand how anyone could enjoy the main leads’ romance when all he does is grab her by the neck and yell at her.

To me, the best relationship in the whole drama is the friendship between the female lead and the princess. All their scenes were so beautiful, and some of them even made me tear up. I couldn’t care for the “romance” at all. Also, I have to say Zhang Linghe’s acting is especially bad in this…

This was the best finale I've seen in a really long time!!! I was smiling the whole episode. Can't believe we have to say goodbye to all these characters now. (':

Hello! Sorry, I watch it on TVer (which you can access from outside of Japan with a VPN, but there are no subs), and they have the first 4 episodes. I don't know if it's available anywhere else.

is this good ?
I'm enjoying it a lot! It's a good balance of emotional moments because it shows how people deal with the death of their loved ones and also more blunt storytelling, with a little bit of funeral logistics too. But if you're pretty sensitive about this topic, I don't think I would recommend it.

I don't know if that's what you meant, but a lot of jdramas have a very homey, heartwarming feel! By the way, if you would like to get into jdramas, I just made this list with some recommendations: https://kisskh.at/list/L60np684 👀

To everyone complaining that "there's no romance" and that "it's like they're not even together," I think this is just not the drama for you... They are in an established relationship from the first episode. You can't really make it more explicit than that. They just don't show them being intimate.

And I disagree that their relationship isn't the focus of the drama, because the whole reason why their law office exists is because of their relationship. They mention the hardships of being a gay couple, not being able to marry the one they love... And every step they take is pretty much motivated by their relationship. To me, this is just nice, casual LGBTQ+ representation, which is very much needed with all the crap we usually get...
Also just a reminder that the drama is labeled as a "human legal drama" in Japan, and not a BL.

8.1...... there is something wrong.....
Question... Is this good or bad? Because this is pretty high for a jdrama, considering how they're usually rated on this site from what I've seen...
This is the kind of drama I wish everyone could watch! It's the perfect balance of deep and serious topics sprinkled with some comedy. And I love that it centers on three different generations and types of families.
+ The discussion between the women in ep 3 was sooo important, especially when they talked about the role of women in society and NaoShiho (love that Satoko called them by a ship name haha)'s coming out stories...

Do you know where I can watch it with eng subs? I'm really interested in this drama but I can't find it anywhere…
Ahh sorry, I live in Japan and watch it on Hulu! It should also be available on TVer if you have a VPN, but no English subtitles.

The first episode was really good!!! I love the Osaka vibes, the cinematography... And the acting from everyone was great too. I always love a good woman-centric drama, so I can't wait to see how it all unfolds!!
On The Asayama Family Sep 8, 2025
As always, the drama I had the least expectations for became one of my favorites of the season! This was so chaotic, and every single family member was absolutely insufferable, but I still enjoyed every second. The dialogues in particular were so clever and flowed so well without ever being overpowered by unnecessary background music. I really loved it!!
On Learning to Love Jul 19, 2025
The first two episodes have been really good, wow!! I hope they keep this up. I really like Kimura Fumino's character here. It's also super interesting to see the way Kaoru acts when he's at the host club and how different he is when he's with Manami on the rooftop. I really love those scenes, they feel so intimate even though she's just teaching him how to write.

Is it same as series, or it has some extra different scenes, or it's like part 2 of original series ?
I watched it on TVer when it came out but I don't think it's on there anymore.

It's set after the series and after the special that just came out recently, so I guess you could call it a part 2. All the scenes are completely new!
