Coming back to this just to say I miss my favorite little duo so much. đ I wish I could forget about this drama and watch it all over again. Truly one of my favorites of 2025.
This show is honestly ridiculous and over the top. It would probably be unbearable to watch if it werenât for Katase Rinoâs incredible and believable acting. Her expressions and voice are so spot on that I almost start seeing her as a sixteen-year-old girl. Itâs the only thing that makes the show not look like a parody to me.
I am fansubbing this, link to my site in my profile!
Sorry to butt in when this isn't about me, but I just checked everything you pointed out in your comment, and I find your criticism very unfair. Do you work in translation? Because I'm a professional translator working in subtitling, and leaving out short lines that are not necessary to the comprehension of the plot is not only extremely common but also inevitable. You have to take into account readability when you make subtitles. No one wants to spend most of their time looking at the text. You're supposed to have enough time to go back and forth, so that you can appreciate the actual visuals and the acting while understanding what is happening. If a character is talking, and someone else says "yes" in the background, we're definitely leaving that out, because it's unnecessary. I can assure you that it doesn't have any impact on the viewers' overall enjoyment. Well, at least, it's not supposed to. If it bothers you that much, I think it's a shame, because all movies and shows translated professionally also have "skipped dialogue."
This is pretty entertaining for the most part, and Iâm really enjoying Suzuka Oujiâs performance, but I think the rapping in court is going to get old pretty quickly if they do it every single episode⊠It also looks kinda silly to me.
I sure as hell hope this is not actually romance....Dude is literally her stalker for 25 years and she doesn't…
I donât know why people are reacting so strongly to your comment, but I completely agree with you. From the first episode alone, Iâm fortunately not getting any romance vibes, so I hope they keep it that way, because he is an absolute creep. Hopefully, itâll be more on the psychological side of things and on how he got to that point than their actual ârelationship,â if you can even call it that.
I have to say the makeup team did an absolutely amazing job! There were so many moments where a super popular actor showed up, and it took me a few minutes to register who it was because they were unrecognizable.
No problem!! But of course, you can always form your own opinion! It's just that personally, that's not the kind of person I want to see end up with the female lead. But a lot of people will tell you that his own father's abuse explains his violent nature as a kid, so it's up to you. I'm just not open-minded enough to go past that, I guess.
Funny how the leads get advertised as âchildhood friendsâ everywhere when 1. theyâre step-siblings and 2. even if they werenât, I wouldnât call someone who beats you and threatens to kill you as a kid your friend⊠Hopefully the drama will deviate from the novel in that aspect, or it will be unwatchable⊠Well, for me at least. Those who romanticize abuse will surely love it.
I really don't understand why a light summer romance drama needs so many relatively explicit scenes of violence…
I'm glad I'm not the only one who found it hard to watch! The scene where Luo He pushes Zhou Wan to the ground and hits her was so unexpected, I was really taken aback. It felt almost out of place.
I started watching this for Kuroki Haru, but I have to say I'm REALLY impressed with Noro Kayo's performance in this drama! Her acting is so natural that I sometimes forget she's acting, and her emotional scenes managed to make me tear up a few times. She knows how to play a character that makes you want to root for her, which I love. I sincerely hope she'll start getting more main roles after this, because she's great.
Glad im not the only one so bothered by that scene idk if i want to continue ahh
To be honest, if it starts being too focused on the ambiguity of their relationship, I'll have to stop watching, but I really wanted to see things get better for the female lead and her grandma and also see her get her well-deserved happy ending... đ
Forced kissing in 2026??? Oh that's just embarrassing. No idea why they added the fireworks in the background, because it was NOT romantic at all. Also, doing that right after asking her if she wanted to be his little sister was definitely... a choice.
I know the theme of the drama is important and deserves to be talked about, but I feel like the characters are way too comfortable airing out their business⊠Like, thereâs really no need to talk about your sex life with your coworkers or your girlfriendâs little brother.
