Cut and dry slap/kiss lakorn. It has it all! Kidnapping, islands, forced marriages, love rape, misunderstanding situations.
Side note: Andrew is amazing as always.
I don't even know about this. Just when I thought I was over Korean drama.
I liked the female lead. She was a bit young and confused, but she had attitude and wasn't afraid to make mistakes. I can see why a lot of people disliked the triangle (the fact it wasn't just implied), but it was refreshing.
Who knew I'd find a gem from 2013?!
It had a lot of actions and twist. Don't be scared off by the comments.
If anything I wish it had more romance towards the end. They just leave it sort of open at the end suggesting a happy ending, but I like action not just implied! I wanted to see the main couple finally accept each others feelings and show some love. After 20 episodes of struggle I needed that.
The whole cast did an awesome job, and the writing was really good.
Why did I stay up till 3 am to finish watching this? I have work tomorrow. A life to lead.
But this....man. It's hella sad. I usually never watch anything to tragic, but since this didn't have a tag of that I thought, why not?
Silly me.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. That being said 7.5 out of 10.
So many triangles! All the romances except for the main lead's mother and the elder coach were all triangles. It was a little exhausting. Also not just one but two mean girls. To be fair one was mean but then got sorta nice, but the other was just a rich snob who couldn't let anyone else share the lime light. She always claimed that the heroine stole everything from her which is 100% opposite.
My review: it was really good! It made me interested in boxing. The story was tight. The characters chased their own tails a bunch (but it's adrama so). It was a very bittersweet story and one of the best older dramas I've watched.
So much plot shoved into one little movie. The effects looked amazing, and I liked it better than the drama version in that aspect. It's good for what it is. If I ever feel like watching the drama again but I don't want to sink myself into it I'll just watch this instead.
I also loved the characters more in this than the drama. The girl didn't seem so awkward and fragile, and the guy didn't seem like he had to wait for the girl to grow up any since they are only 2 years apart in college. It seemed more real world in that.
Cute af. Draggy parts, and weird problems that are solved in two episodes, but cute. And that's why I forgave the downs
Also the parents were way cool with it. I mean they used logic and understanding. Which was weird.
This was so much better than the remake! I was suprised how much violence and sex was in a Taiwanese drama. Maybe since it was older they allowed it.
Beautifully done! Didn't matter if it was shot more than 10 years ago. Chemistry was awesome. The ending to I liked
A thia drama set in Japan? I'm intrigued.
edit: I really like this drama, but the main girl seems uncomfortable with male lead all the time. I don't know if it's intentional or the actress doesn't like to be touched, but I feel uncomfortable just watching.
I agree with the majority. This guy did a lot more bad things to RIn than most Lakorns of this type. He raped her 5 times, and it was rape, not just she succumbed to him. I was sickened by the people around her towards the end being like 'he's changed give him a chance'
I will say he did seem like he felt shame by what he did, but it should of ended with her leaving and succeeding by herself. I think Wee deserved to live in misery with Lee (a monster of his creation)
I would say watch it if you're okay with violence. It's not bad acting or story, but the "growth" of characters isn't there. No one seems sorry about what has happened. They take it as lets live in the now and forget how horrible it was.

Quality isn't the best but it's watchable
