Title Little Women
Currently at episode 7, wondering where this is going.
To be honest I liked the characters at first, especially the way it was clear that every one of them had a different way to deal with poverty (also, it's true they are not super poor but I believe this to be relatable for many people... you are not very poor, but you are still below the standard... You can buy something that looks like a coat, but not something that truly warms you up... you can buy a new pot but not a stove...).
However, I could not really stand how the sister became so naive. Does it make sense for a journalist to not know you have to research EVERYTHING before accusing someone or expose what you discovered? She is just too impulsive, considering she is dealing with politicians...
What about In Joo, which seems to not want to know what to do in the situation? She just does everything people ask her, shouldn't she investigate on her own how to protect the money at all cost from others?
The little sister, as bad as she seems to be, actually is the only one who stays true to herself. She wants to get the money alone, not depending on the two poor sisters. Her attitude is like that just because she is a teen. Me too, I believed my friends to be all good, even if my mom told me they were fake.
Hope this gets better.....

I am kinda sorry I had to drop this because as much as it is nothing new it had some nice twist and pov of social issues and the characters were very complex too. However, midway it started to look as if the screewriters wanted to focus on a different genre every episode. Everytime I started an episode it looked like the genre changed from drama to thriller, from thriller to slice of life, from that to drama again. I felt confused more than entertained. Such a pity...

About to watch the finale. Love this show, but I am just not believing the central BF/GF thing at all. There is…
I just wanted to comment that I think there is an explanation for the bad written relationship... It wanted to show a couple of school sweethearts that grew up apart differently and don't know how to deal with it. Up until when they were living far from each other, the whole relationship worked on the premise of a long-awaited reunion that would have solved all of their problems. However, when the reunion finally happens, it's nothing like they planned, 'cause they start to realize they live in two different universes. She is totally comfortable in Seoul busy life, trapped in her office by business hierarchy. And she is overly stressed by her career goals. But she is sure she is doing what is right for her future, so she sacrifices everything for it.On the other hand, he finds Seoul too big and tiring, he is doing his job out of social pressure, not because it is his dream job, he hates his boss and colleagues, yet he has to endure it because he needs money. He tries to call for help but everyone is just focused on trying to survive on their own. Also, to live in that place is his own choice as I remember he being ashamed of poverty. In my opinion, it is not like they don't like each other (because surely there was a will to meet), it is more like they grew apart and the more they can't meet, the more their relationship crumbles. I feel like their relationship was at that very awkard stage when you finally meet someone you have texted for one year and you don't know if you are really attracted by them, so you fear you won't like them anymore. I really appreciated their relationship description, because to me it was a real window on Korea's social problems (the goshiwon vs apartment life, who I want to be vs who I need to be for my spouse from a social perspective...). Moreover, there are so many relationships that are not so deep as they should be. Yet they are there, and I am sure many of us have been there. Not knowing if we love the person or the memories, yet not being able to let go.

Of course, a healthy relationship would have solved the problem with the girlfriend renting a room for them, but that way the drama would have ended in 20 minutes.
I believe such a meaningless relationship was needed to really make you understand how much of an hell he was into.
Hating everyone, wanting to look cool in front of his girlfriend, yet also being said by her "I have my own problems so solve yours on your own"

I am confused with the ending.
After he's punished, what happens?
World ceases to exist and stars again,
she dies and she reincarnates again before dieing,
all the character's lives change so that he never existed?
Moreover, if he ceases to exist in every past and present form... what's with them reuniting at the end? ?

Actually, its a fantasy drama. The story has a Beauty and the beast vibe in reverse genders and there does seem…
I agree with you about the reference, that's what popped in my head as soon as I saw it. However, for what it concerns the Beauty and the Beast it was explained at the beginning that the rose had a great power on him, and it was quite "understandable" why the Beast went so mad when the dad tried to steal it. We could sense there was something more going on. But I don't get the same feeling for this drama as for now, that is what I am complaining about. Not the lack of explaination but the lack of giving the viewers the sense that there is something more going on ( I know everyone knows there is because it is in the premises of the show xD but I am talking about the drama production here )

i completely agree, both of the main characters are so inconsistent. they didn't characterize chan sung at all,…
Totally agree.
I feel there were a lot of unnecessary moments in the first episodes that contribuited to make it look awkard.

Yeah, honestly, as for now I like this setting and plot more than Master's Sun. But of course, the acting in MS was superb, and the characters had such a great development.
It is sad because this drama seems to be sort of a fan-service one, where the writer takes it easy because fans of the main actors will watch it in any case :/

I was expecting literally nothing, lol I was even surprised the setting was this good.
But imo the main characters are suffering from a writing that didn't know how to manage the amount of informations it needed to provide in the first episodes.
I don't want the backstory of the guy, they can give it later, I want to know what is his life style now. What is the starting point of his character? Because the drama should focus on his development.
But did they provide a clear starting personality for him? No. Honestly I am struggling a lot trying to understand his position. He doesn't want to work at the hotel but at the same time his "no" is never clear.
Even if she blackmails him, he never tries to really fight her nor to surrender.
I guess the goal was to make it seems as if he decided to work there himself (because developing a couple from a lover that forces her partner to work by blackmailing him is hard ) but even so, even the part where he goes to the hotel with the blind ghost and changes his mind is freaking rushed.
I know there is a lack of time, but I feel the given time wasn't even managed well.
And I am sad, because honestly speaking there are other aspects in this drama that I like a lot (photography, setting and concept).

OMG Literally my thoughts! I didn't even know how to describe my impression of the main lead and you wrote it perfectly!
He is all over the place, I guess it is because of poor writing. I am guessing his character should be a nice simple boy, but it was introduced so bad...
There weren't even 5 minutes straight focused on him in the first episodes.
I am disappointed because Hong sisters should be experienced. My final raiting would totally be effected by this.

Am I the only one thinking they did a mess with the start?
The way they introduced the characters is awkard. I mean, her character seems inconsistent: she tells him "you can't escape this" but then she gives him the chance to leave and she is not clear in anything she does. Also, it isn't even understandable why she needs him so much, and they don't even give us that "there must be a reason why" vibe.
Speaking of him, to me his character is understandable. It is like he has several characters in him, he always reacts differently to things.
The funny moments do not even seem to match the general mood.
I don't see any chemistry between them.
I hope it gets better now the first two episodes are over.

Title Touch Your Heart Spoiler
I surprisingly enjoyed episodes 13-14. The break-up arc was annoying but on the other hand, I was happy they returned…
I know what you mean.
I get the same feeling. I loved the way they fell for each other, I found it very relatable and cute.
However, they stopped developing feelings since they started dating. It is extremely awkard. They are cute but they do not go further in anything.
How can I say it? They talk but only to comfort each other.
You are right about the fact that we basically don't know anything about Yeon Seo's background outside the entertainment world, but at the same time I do feel we know a lot more about Yeon Seo as a character compared to our knowledge of Attorney Kwon. I honestly tought there was a reason behind his "coldness", turns out it is just the way he is. I thought there was some big issue between him, Yeoreum and Se Won, turns out he just had a crush on her. I do feel he lacks in depht, he just revolves around Yeon Seo character and the things she says.
Even so, I still do like him. The fact that they are rather a normal couple without absurd fights and that his "coldness" has not been associated with a snobbish personality is something I enjoy.
But it just bothers me the way they are using honorifics to adress each other even when alone (seriously, at least they could reduce the formalities...), the way they just do not act like a real couple. It is even more awkard because the way they developed their feelings before becoming a couple made it seems like they would be all lovey-dovey.
Don't know why it turned out this way, I think it had too many side stories and they couldn't manage their time well.
When you think about it this drama had client trials, stalker case, break-up, old case coming back, side character's stories... maybe they should have left out something and focus more on the couple.

I feel like the only one who's not loving this drama. I never saw Goblin so maybe that's why I'm not into this?…
The reason your are not into it may be just your personal taste in dramas. This drama IS plain, but I think that everyone feels this "plain-ness" in a positive way.
Goblin doesn't matter. I watched it and I never thought about Touch Your Heart being a "goblin spin-off" or a "couple comeback". The leads are so different in this, also their chemistry is. I think watching goblin wouldn't change your opinion about it.
I wouldn't say Touch Your Heart is great. It is still a rom-com. The leads seem to not have a strong personality (which doesn't mean they do not have depth!), but the script is not trying to force humor, useless playing-hard-to-gettiness in the main couple, useless traumas and jelousy and that is why I am enjoying it so much.
What I like about this one is the fact that they fall in love so naturally as normal people would. I think it is a nice drama to break that melo routine.
I didn't like much WWWSK because it had the premise to be different from other dramas, yet they put there the same cliches and the story about them being kidnapped together. I didn't find ML personality strong, just funny most of the time. Of course, it was also deep, but being "deep" and "traumatized" doesn't make a strong personality imo. That being said, WWWSK had a huge power to keep people entertained even tho you weren't like where it was going.
I watched WWSK till the end, but I got angry at writers. This is not happening with TYH.
If this drama is not satisfying to you just drop it. It may just not be your cup of tea, I totally understand it could be not "entertaining" since it is linear and very fluffy :)
On Touch Your Heart Feb 22, 2019
Sometimes I find myself wondering why I do like this drama so much, even tho I usually hate cliches and sugar-filled-scenes.
The answer is: this is SO relatable. The excitement and the flutter she feels while falling for the lawyer is so real. Those are things I genuinely felt when I had a crush on my senior in high school. It is very rare to find a drama that portrays this kind of feeling so well and without any useless drama. There is always some lack of communication between the leads, they hate each other at first, or at least one of them always does so. Although beautifully portrayed, they way leads fall in love in other dramas is always so dramatic, but this one is so simple and real.
This drama is so fresh and cute, can't wait for more episodes.

I am pretty sure she will go back to acting, but maybe just to realize she loves her new job.
I think episodes will focus on several cases and her case in the end, so I don't think it would be boring. I just hope there is no stupid break-up in the middle.

I'm glad to not be alone. Most of the people seem to love it.
Since I really came to hate and not find believable any of the choices/characters I think I will watch it if I have time, just because everyone is talking about the great finale.

Title The Last Empress Spoiler
This drama is a kind of a believable makjang lol so weird yet so addicting.
I like the lack of romance, and I am really curious if there is a reason behind the fact that they are trying to make us "fall" for the Emperor now after showing his wrong-doings.

It would be too sensitive of a topic in Korea after the bed scene. They're probably not going to play the siblings…
Yes, there are hints, but to be honest I think we are too influenced by the japanese version. From the hints they gave they could be siblings or not.
What I know is that her brother allowed this. He knows who MY is, so there is no way he could give consent to this relationship. But he is not stopping her from meeting MY. He is allowing them to be in love.
I have seen other kdramas hinting at incest, but none of those really was in the end. So, for me, the bed scene cleared the siblings assumptions.
But who knows. Maybe they are.
I agree with you they would be wasting all the chemistry, and I hope for a happy ending too.
On The Smile Has Left Your Eyes Nov 6, 2018
To me the bed scene confirmed they are not siblings. The writer went too far to take that plot twist. Koreans are not so permissive as Japaneses with this kind of topic.
Being a tvn drama with such actors I don't think they will go with the original plot.
