Title Fight for My Way Spoiler
I understand Ae Ra, and I think probably almost everyone would act the way she did. Think about your boyfriend…
I agree! Things like this happen in real life more than one can tell... lots of my 'mature' friends have similar stories, and I am no different. Everyone is irrational when it comes to love. It's normal for viewers to judge since we're basically outsiders, but to me this behavior is not unrealistic at all...

Title Fight for My Way Spoiler
I understand Ae Ra, and I think probably almost everyone would act the way she did. Think about your boyfriend risking to not hear again. We're not talking about getting some bruises... we're talking about not be able to hear again, for the rest of your life.
If my boyfriend was in this kind of difficult situation, I honestly would have tricked him the same way, knowing that I am the only thing that can 'compete' with his dream.
All that said, it is clear that Ae Ra's decision is not going to change anything. It's not like stopping to be his girlfriend would actually prevent her to suffer everytime she sees him fighting. But she's desperate to make him rethink again about that decision, so that's why she's breaking up. If I was in her shoes, I would've probably thought "let's see what he does if I'm completely gone, and if he doesn't find a way, I will come back to him." Childish, but we're talking about him risking his health.
It's not like she doesn't want to support him, but think about it: everytime she said it was painful to watch, he said "I'm just going to do it and you have to come support me"
Honestly, I feel like he didn't think about Ae Ra's feelings about him getting hurt because they would be just something in his way. He doesn't have to give up on his dream, but he should worry about hurting others with it.
Both of them have their wrongdoings.
Anyway, I'm not too worried since we'll get an happy ending.

Thank you!! :)

I didn't yet. I'm happy to know that then :)

I'm feeling so lonely because last episode killed my hype for the drama, but everyone seems to still enjoy it a lot. Is there anyone who feels a little bit disappointed?
I suddenly feel like it became really slow: Ae Ra is obtaining the job only in the last episodes, the main couple is nice but nothing much happens, they constantly troll us with the sleeping togheter thing (and they'll continue till the last episode). Idk, they just became a cute couple to me. The landlady thing seems so forced and I absolutely have no interest in that side of the story now that we're at 13th episode...
Seol Hee and Joo Man story is still okay, but being them a side couple I don't feel so involved in their happy ending. Also, the creepy cameramen's story is not explained yet, and Dong Man's ex girlfriend keeps disappearing from time to time. Not that I want her to be seen, but it seems they're just trying to keep everything in the end so that it will just be a mess of information (but people would keep watching, of course).

Question: Why do you guys think Queen for Seven Days is not performing well in Korea. To me, ratings don't…
I think the reason lies in the way koreans perceive dramas and entertainment in general. Marketing and target is important when it comes to ratings.
Lots of my korean friends don't even bother to watch dramas. They don't have time for it, and dramas are perceived as something that targets mature women or school girls. Well, youngsters in my country think the same about our tvshows. I used to watch them when I was in middle school, but I don't care anymore. I watch asian ones because they're different from what I'm used to.
I happened to be in Korea when Moonlight Drawn By Clouds was airing and Park Bo Gum was advertising everything, from rice to cloth softener. He also became the testimonial for a makeup brand and for months I saw employers of that brand's shops giving balloons with Park Bo Gum's face on the streets.
It was obvious people would get curious about him or his work. He was everywhere, and he had that 'pure and sweet' aura surrounding him. He was appealing to everyone: from women to school girls. There are lots of drama like this.
Goblin, Dots, Scarlet Heart: people watched them mainly because of the cast.
Unfortunately, this doesn't happen to Queen of Seven Days. The target of the drama is adults, moreover, the actors involved are not hype enough. People tend to be curious when others are curious. It's a pity it doesn't get the rating it deserves, but all in all, high rating doesn't necessarily mean the drama is good. Most of the time it just means the marketing was successful.

Honestly I'm hoping for the prince to have a bigger plan we're not aware of yet. If he truly loves her…
Agree with both. The marriage could advantage everyone involved, but it's kinda cruel to Chae Kyung. That's why I have the feeling there's something more he didn't reveal. The fact that he didn't mention anything about the treason he's plotting bothers me too. He didn't even say he's the true king, or that everyone is against him. It will break their relationship later on and she will start to believe in other evil people who just want to use her. As for now, dragging her in seems just reckless and egoistic. But again, if they marry, Yeok will able to protect her... well, I guess we will see haha
Chae Kyung's brightness is so bittersweet. She's able to move people and make them gather courage, but also, she only sees humanity and that's why she's too naive to live in the palace.
I think the same about the ending. The scene where she tries to kill him in episode 1 shows that despite loving each other she was plotting to kill him, so sad.

Honestly I'm hoping for the prince to have a bigger plan we're not aware of yet. If he truly loves her there's no way he would drag her in a hellish marriage, but since he's doing so I'm kinda confused with his true feelings/intentions.
What I'm sure about is that after episode 10 I don't want her to be with the king. He's totally going crazy.

Honestly, Joo Man 'bad guy' thing is ridiculous. What does he expect her to be? A worst person than him so he could feel at peace? Why not starting from admitting he wants to be successful more than staying with her? I tried to understand him and I did up to a certain point but now he's just becoming more and more pathetic.
If he feels bad because he's losing opportunities to respect his girlfriend then it means he doesn't want this relationship anymore.
And anyway, when Yejin called him he could have just go home and tell Seol Hee about the matter so they could go together. I'm sick of him being so "naive" about that girl's true intentions. He should be angry about Yejin's mother childish behavior, not about his relationship with Seol Hee.
It's time for Seol Hee to come clear and leave him alone with his thirst for money.

I love the pace of this drama soo much but after ep 10 I'm starting to worry they won't be able to keep it up to expectation till the end. 6 episodes left and Ae Ra has not make any progress in her dream career, Hye Ran is constantly butting in also in job matters just for personal reasons (and after ep 10 I bet she'll be even more evil lol), Seol Hee and Joo Man situation is near the break up... and now they also introduced the fishy cameraman. How are they gonna wrap it up well in 6 episodes without rushing?

I NEED TO RANT ABOUT EP 10! I can't stand Joo Man! Hate his cowardly little whiny face. And I pity Seol Hee…
Exactly my thoughts! I could understand him concerning about money up untill he said he wants to brag to their friends... that's so wrong. She needs to stand up for herself and enjoy a life without sacrificing for him. Idk, I see a break up coming soon...

I loved how they ended episode 7 with a cliffhanger so that everyone was saying "it's a relief we don't have to wait a whole week!" and then they totally got us with the end of 8th episode... Next week will be full of turning points for couples!

I'm so upset to know there won't be any real kiss. I felt she was a nice choice, but seriously, how unbelievable is that she was offered/decided to take this role? After years I still remember Goong bcs of the way the two main leads fell in love so naturally and passionately, and honestly that was the only thing I was expecting from the thai version since the reign they live in is not real (in the korean one they also showed a lot of korean culture...) :(
Maybe it will be a nice drama anyway but there's no point in watching a story about a married couple who falls in love and no kisses. I had high expectation and waited for over a year for this but I'm thinking of dropping it now... so sad. :(

I just hope this drama won't drag the "we're best friends how can we be something else" awkwardness…
Yeah same with me. In this one I'm guessing the friendzone is just a cover and they have a crush on each other since a long time ago but... who knows. In terms of korean dramas, 16 episodes are too short to be realistic and too many to full the drama with useless angst lol. I'm just worried I'm expecting too much from the great start. Let's just patiently wait~

I just hope this drama won't drag the "we're best friends how can we be something else" awkwardness for too long because the chemistry is too much and I want them together already.

Y'all are worried about the friendship.......but it was obvious, the writer doing something like that is…
Agree. I think there could be some sort of misunderstanding in that scene also. Maybe Yool was fakingly taking sides with the enemy to get to know their weakness, but HY ans SH saw him and thought he was betraying them. I think their friendship was turned down by different opinions who lead to different ways to handle the situation. Also, I feel like there was too much hiding in their previous friendship. Like maybe everyone did dangerous things while hiding it from the friends, so it lead to misunderstandings. Don't know.
BTW... It would be a great twist if one of the main leads actually betrayed the friends. And it would not leave me so surprised. Also, I have this feeling that Baek is the culprit... Can't wait to see the next episodes!

Btw, I hope they will overcome the thing without using the same disappointing cliches, I don't want to hear words such as "Being with me is dangerous" in this drama too. It's not like they're really dangerous in present life.

Totally loving the pacing in this one... episodes go on so smoothly and focus on the right elements. Can't wait to know more about the characters past!
