This actress is not the fl in S1 right..? I checked this because of the dark trailer and she looked familiar.
Thanks for the rec, right now I'm enjoying it and I don't think I'll enjoy it less w/o seeing S1 (yet) since I'm used to wuxia/xianxia. The mystery of everyone's identity is interesting.
For someone who hasn't seen S1, and just randomly checked out the pilot of S2, it wasn't that hard to enjoy. I quite liked it. I didn't even realize it was more than an hour long until it was over. And the chemistry is good. Now I'm looking forward to ep. 2.
Though being used to cdramas, the wait would be something to endure with only 2 eps a week.
The reuters looks good. Seeing ml's costume reminded me of ALP, but I guess its normal since this is a sequel so they probably can't go far off. This team though, ALP, CQL, NIF, ADOS.. hard not to have expectations.
Also, HKL is here too..! Not the BFX x YYZ reunion I wished for, but I'll take anything. Hopefully his character stays for more than one ep.
All the more reason to hope for this drama's success. I hope that more dramas can remain true to the novel if…
Exactly. I too don't mind changes, like a good balance of the lead characters. But not to the point that they're unrecognizable esp. if its entirely changed from female centered to male centered that her character is just a love interest/tool for cp. Or worse, turning a strong and smart fl into the typical damsel in distress to make ml the usual knight in shining armor.
Anyways, fingers crossed for this one. I won't have my expectations too high (afterall this is WRTW team, not LLTG) but I'll be positively looking forward.
Heard the filming already started with WAY as final ml. Haven't seen him in anything before but he's young so it might work out better.
Since ZLS is sure 1st billing now, I'll be expecting this won't be WRTW 2.0. That drama was okay, but it didn't do the novel (that I loved) any justice.
Hopefully SY team remembers that two of tencent's hits this year are female centered (one is literally by their fl ZLS). As long as the production is good, it'll be good. *Adds to my ptw list*
“There’s a policeman who has caught countless criminals but does not know how to catch the woman he holds dear in his heart, a firefighter who has extinguished fires countless times but does not know how to put out the fire in his heart, and a paramedic who treats others’ wounds well but does not know how to treat the wounds in her own heart.” - Min Jieun
Yeeeeea, he soooo handsome and they had so good chemistry, but he sadly no popular, there no chance for him((
He looks so good in costume too, and the fact that they had chemistry even with the few minutes together with no loveline, imagine a full drama with a proper loveline..
Yes, hence the 'wishful thinking' because YXP had never cast a less popular or newbie ml before.
First impression, I wasn't expecting the pilot to be heavy. I mean, I was sure it would be intense, but for the…
The mc being unconventional and doing things his way then being right at the end is nothing new, along with having powerful parents he cut ties with, but KRW's portrayal makes it convincing and fits.
First impression, I wasn't expecting the pilot to be heavy. I mean, I was sure it would be intense, but for the first case to be more like an accident or random fire to focus on character intros.
Anyways, despite the few illogical things, I enjoyed the pilot and the trio. Looking forward to the next eps.
I feel like I've read this before.. Anyways, I might not like every drama she's in (and not an actor fan in general) but the fact that CQQ entertained me during the first period of lockdown and singlehandedly changed my mind on giving low budget web cdramas a chance, makes her special and part of myactresslist.
It seems there really is no such thing as final ml until booting. And while many are hoping for the popular actors they like, here I am wishful thinking of a reunion with HKL.
Anyways, the team is still casting for ml so this might give ZLS an extended vacay. Go get that r&r Sisi~
What? Can you explain? I'm one of the odd breed that like spoilers
In the og story, the fl (YJG here) is the one in the past and ml (CYH here) in the present. The fl is dating her boyfriend (KHY) when she found out that ml's parents is her boyfriend and bestfriend (BIY). So she lets go of him and ends up alone.
When I said the gender switch makes sense, its because YJG is the experienced actor here and suits the melancholy vibes and bachelor ending. YJG and CYH said they didn't meet during filming so MN didn't see the young KY but the older version of him in the present which is same as og story. But NIW also said this won't follow the og. So KY doesn't give up HS to ES, but that would mean MN won't exist in the present..? Unless the twist of MN's parents is changed as well.
Those are just my thoughts based on the og plot since this is a remake. But it could be totally different. So with the international release I'm hoping it'll be out in my country as well so I can go see it.
If this will follow the og ending, the gender switch makes sense because he suits the ending and the twist. But if not, then she might have a SE, unless they change the twist as well.
Anyways, heard this will have an international release.

Looking forward to next eps. and to S2.

He played Yan Ying Zhou in WRTW. Her character's first love in the novel who died after saving her.
